What if he’s just a better skating Pouliot? - LeftCoaster
Man, I thought I was a negative wiener about our team but you are the champion of negativity.
Were you this mopey when you played? Jesus, hope you weren’t responsible for giving that big locker room speech.
I must be an act because nobody can be this much of a downer.

I agree wholeheartedly. He brings it much more convincingly, and at a fraction of the cost. As well, his positioning and ability to make a stress-free simple first pass is welcome.
Not sure why Green is sitting him today, seeing as how Vegas has some big boys who like to crash the net. - Slip and slap
Ya it’s an odd one. Think they just want to put cycle the kids in. Schenns not in the longterm plans. I kinda dont mind him coming back for cheap though. I like him more than biega or pou |

Nah. I was just a fan that wanted to see the Canucks finally have a physical edge on teams after so many years of being a ragdoll. I put too much stock in Gudbranson's ability to bring that, and hope that they don't revert back to being submissive.
Make all the edits you want though. Maybe use a red pen next time. - Slip and slap
I'm glad your gudbranson erection is gone and you have seen the light. Next time take a burning ember, put it on your wrist, and the pain will cause your brain to focus elsewhere, and you will lose it faster

I’m just a realist who refuses to pencil in all the kids we draft until they’ve at least played five minutes in the league.
My hope is he comes in and he’s the next Pettersson but on defence, until he plays, I’m not sure he’s as great as everyone says.
I’ve seen him play, he needs some work but he’s a huge skill. |

If Schenn continues to bring his game, I could see him being extended in a third pairing role at a team friendly rate.
The defense needs a physical element still, but not one with the frequency of Haley's comet, and one that occurs at the expense f creating and maintaining offence. |

There’s also a difference between better skating and instantly the fastest and most agile player on our team. Amazing possession/transition guy. The only doubt i have is whether he scores. Think of niedermeyer and Lindstrom though. |

The next time you think about another poster having some imaginary erection, you might want to do the same. Maybe take up crocheting, or another hobby? |

Yeah, I know, but I complain about that stuff too. I watched the Toronto FC game on Saturday morning to get in the mood and it was non-stop falls and fouls. By comparison, the Whitecaps game had a good, steady pace with minimal whistles and even a good number of goals, even if the visitors went home with the 3-2 win.
I'm not rushing to worry about summer yet. I have a lot of blogs to fill after April 6, so I'd rather talk about games while we still have games
One thing I will say: with lots of cap space and lots of big UFA targets available, I do expect Jim to try to go big-game hunting. The Canucks even have the picks available to be an offer-sheet team if they really want to stir the pot. - Carol Schram
Toronto is super vulnerable. Both Jonnson and Kapanen would fit nicely |

Lol. The suns out, temperatures are increasing, difficult season almost over, feeling good about a possible bump in skill next season and then WHAM, Lefty drops the hammer and then I’m back to cutting myself.

Well, those restraining orders haven't done you any favors, codes. They were put in place for a good reason, so just trust the court system on this one, okay? |

Hey listen, we are definitely headed in the right direction but as someone who saw a lot of skilled players unable to make the show, I wanna see what you’ve got at the nhl level.
The corner is right in front of us, keep drafting and turn that corner very soon!! |

Son, I was never in your way. Remember that the psychologist said that those delusions would happen if you didn't put down the Elmer's.

I totally agree. Grew up with a few guys who I thought were locks to be great pros. And when the cream started to rise and players like me got filtered out, those guys became ordinary amongst all the other great young players.
They didn’t take it well. Must have been a huge shock. Not one of them made the show. |
