The entire coaching staff should be fired, 27th place!! We were number #1 overall in the LEAGUE at the end of November. We have won 13 games since then, 13 out of 42 games played. I know it was unrealistic to think we could keep the pace set in November but was .500 hockey too much to ask for?

Regardless of the intricacies, his overall system is modern, puck movement from the defense. I think we have some dumb players on defense, which is one of the reasons we're not great, but a lot of today's systems are similar. IE, not the Kings or Devils style of trap and bore. What Phail is not doing is relaying to the players properly how to perform consistently in said system. He's not coaching. Which means he's not doing his job.

There is zero reason this team on paper is not in the wild card race. Phil will make it to the end of the season, but it's going to be severely disappointing if he makes it to October of 2019.

To be fair, many of those early winning streak games could have gone either way. At that time, I said "we're more lucky than good". Face it, we might have been bad all year.

I'm not a Phil fan but I just don't see all this "talent". Eichel, Reinhart, Dahlin, Skinner ... that's about it. We overvalue our guys around here.

talent comes at all levels, depending on deployment and position. You've properly listed the team's elite talent, though. However, there are other players on this team that are "talented" as well.

Makes questionable roster/lineup decisions daily. Holds no vets accountable. Makes horrible excuses. Has no fire or direction.

I honestly don't care about a coach getting fired, not with the guaranteed money they get. It's not like wishing one of us would get fired.

Please fire the coach. Trust no one who wants to give him another season.

"Hoping it's a stealth tank" has got to be the most asinine thing said on here in a long time. Are you kidding me?

Its like taking the lead on a straightaway and then crashing into the wall with no contact and blaming the car behind you for the crash, while also having your fans insist the crash was done on purpose to drive a different car across the finish line.
