The soft stuff is utter nonsense imo. The top line is full of chutzpah; hell, even Erod has a fighting major this year. The team isn't soft, they just suck.

getting into a scrum and face washing a few guys with your gloves on is hardly the response that is needed when your captain gets clobbered (high) and after the whistle.

as a player, Housley would have skated to the bench and grabbed some gatoraide and hoped for a power play

we are on the same page. I am glad that the players that were on the ice did something albeit not much, but I don' expect those players to drop the gloves. others should have picked up the slack later on in the game. it was an opportunity to defend your captain and IMO they failed (edit Phalied) miserably.

The Sabres are not the only team that I watch. The response, minus Nelson, was totally appropriate.

It wasn't a situation that warranted putting mair, Peters and Kaleta against the top line and mugging them. Eichel was fine.

Bench clearing brawls are gone, line brawls are almost extinct, fighting is down, and the response was typical of the NHL in 2019. Scandella tackled him, PP Sabres.

Any word on the Bills trade front? Also, saw colts and Ravens out of the Bell sweeps. This is like the FA version of the Sammy Watkins trade up. How fun, but is it really necessary? And please please please keep Gore, McCoy, Bell and Ivory on the same roster for at least a day.
