I hate to say it, but Button looks correct on this one. The over aggressive style of defending is leaving guys out of position.

His anti-physical wait for a PP strategy has failed. And he spoke about giving Anderson some rest but we haven't seen it.

Come back would have been sweet but I am hoping the loss shows them they cannot keep coming back in the third.

Hasn't won a round in 10 years. Remember when he said the nets should be bigger and the media let that slide?

Babcock was a very good coach, but he isn't adjusting to the way the game is going. He looked more effective and comfortable coaching that horrible 2015-16 team.

I don't ever remember him coaching a very young team to success. His successes are with teams with a lot of vets and guys with a lot of experience. I'm blown away how many of these young guys take shifts and often nights off. I hope it doesn't turn into Edmonton 2.0 where they all get their fat paycheques and then (frank) the dog after that. I don't think Marner will but.

Babs put Marleau back on the top 2 lines in practice. Yeah that'll turn it around!

I know Marleau's "Leadership" is amazing. It doesn't matter that he's horrible on the ice.

So he's done well with good teams and not with teams like his later Wings teams and the Leafs when he first got here. Hmm.

To me, that's Babcock's biggest accomplishment still. That team had no business in the finals.
Although they did add vets at the deadline which Babcock heavily relied on.
I would never not give him credit just because his goalie was great. That team was still very close to being the worst cup winner in history.

Ya thats certainly the best or closest example. Giggy with the stay-puffed gear on. I don't think it's all on him either.
