I can't see them moving Ghostisbehere right now unless it is for a deal that just is too good to pass up.

I could see them looking to move Voracek. Again price would have to be right but I could see this because I could see the Flyers looking to play in the FA market and maybe reshape the forward ranks.

I myself dont think ghost is value is in the gutter. Despite the off year.

I think they know it is likely there will be a bounce back, even in a down year he still runs the PP point like few can, he still has the cannon from the point. Then I think folks forget about his team friendly contract.

I agree. It’s certainly not as high as it was say last season. But it’s fair to say the team struggled as a whole throughout this season and he was a part of that struggle.

correct as maybe last year was somewhat of an anomaly to begin with.

I don't see why we would move Jake, I don't want picks and you probably aren't getting a comparable player back. PPG guy on a decent contract, we struggle to score as it is. Look at the PP while he was out.

It’s all over twitter, but interesting. I believe it was said he wanted to play more than one year at college start of this season. Wonder what changed his tune. It would be pretty awesome if we got him, Allison and Laczynski to all sign this summer. Same with Cates I suppose. Even if they don’t make the Flyers they will be nice additions to the phantoms.

I really dont get the move Jake party. Yeah he turns it over at times and can make dumb mistakes, but his skill and style of play are irreplaceable when looking at our prospect pool. With the cap likely increasing more and more, his contract will be fine if he gets his point total norm. Also tired of hearing he doesn’t shoot enough, pretty sure he leads the whole team in shots.
Our PP is bad this season, but god it was abysmal when he was suspended.

yeah not a good idea unless a huge return, including a roster player, similar to the package that we got for Carter...

if the include NAK as well it might get it done

The only thing missing is 15 million dollars and a few draft choices like the Lindros deal with the Avs before they moved from Quebec...

I would be pretty shocked, but happy, if he signed. Pretty sure he'd need some decent time in the AHL, but it would be nice if they could accelerate his addition to the team. I'm actually more excited to see him than Frost.

I’m not really interested in moving a huge impact player, I rather add to this core and bolster it up. We have the cap space to do so. Even after signing our RFAs and UFAS, we should have idk roughly 15M? Inb4 someone says well you have to subtract players for a trade...we have plenty of draft picks and ample prospects. If we really want to improve now and are getting impatient with developing then throw our 1st rounder in a trade this summer.

I agree, Jake has a lot to give, size, skating, play making and on and on...

you don't just find players like that, him like G have been saddled with an inferior supporting cast for a long time, they both deserve to see the other side of it and both have a lot more to give.

I’m very excited for Farabee too. He’s a legit two-way winger who seems to be a great PKer too. He’s a freshman and scoring at basically a PPG pace (36P in 37g) as well. He really doesn’t have a glaring weakness.

Agreed, bunch of empty stat padding, never has scored any meaningful goals.

Wade Allison’s college didn’t qualify for the NCAA tourney so technically he can sign a deal with us now. I hope he does. I read he may want to return for senior year but with his injury history that may not be the wisest choice

SWEET!!!

Is he eligible for the Phantoms regular season/playoff (if they make it) games?

Edit: Ouch...looks like they're not gonna make it.

I was going to ask the same thing. I did read an article saying he is eligible, but apparently he's injured?

Ghost is one of those every other year players. So in essence he's due to bounce back next season. However he continues to struggle like has this season, I'll look to move him at the trade deadline.

Voracek I won't move for picks or prospects. I would like to get a roster player who's play making skill is similar.

Edit: As for Doughty...while I'd love to have him on the Flyers, and while he's still a top-level defenseman, this board (and city) would eat him alive if he put up the offensive numbers that he has for most of his career (>15 goals, >50 points). People would want him to be Chris Pronger, and he's not even close.

- jmatchett383

Those totals would put Doughty among the league leaders. That's about what Pronger produced every season. Pronger did not score 15 goals in a season in his entire career. Doughty is a Norris Trophy winner and two time Cup champion. He is going into the Hall of Fame when he retires. Pretty comparable to Pronger.
