Doughty is not nor ever will be Pronger, he is a great player though. Pronger was the MVP of the league in his prime, Doughty never sniffed that. When was the last time a Dman won the Hart, might have been Pronger. - ClaudeFather
That's true that Doughty has never won the Hart but that was only one season. Doughty has won the Norris trophy and should've won it more than once in my opinion. Doughty is absolutely in the class of Pronger as a player and has arguably been the best defenseman in the NHL over a significant period of time. |

YOUR GUESS? - wcorvette
I have no idea. But for the fun of the poll, I'll take 175
Makes sense that adding strength would be a big part of his prep work. But isn't skating one of his better attributes? I doubt he would risk impacting his skating ability & conditioning by getting on some swoll routine before his first camp. |

He is not in the class of Pronger, a Dman has not won the Hart in 20 years besides him. Pronger was defensively outstanding, feared league wide, and was no slouch on offense. He also went to the cup with 3 different teams, shows the type of impact he had where ever he went. |

Farabee is still young, so he has time to fill out, but he has spaghetti arms. Hopefully he hits the gym or he's gonna get pushed off the puck in the NHL. - Thors-Hammer
Yeah because Debrincat and Nugent-hopkins are huge.
He'll get stronger but he's never going to manhandle someone. His game is speeds and smarts.
How much weight you think Sanheim plays at?
I see Farabee maybe eventually around 190. I think he might be able to gain about 10-15 pouds depending on his training. |

Thanks for playing..
Frost put on 10 last summer, hard to know exact but from what I could see it was 10. I think they probably put on a couple pounds just because the season is over and they can train more. At his weight and his age 10 pounds shouldn't slow him down, it should be good weight and in theory make him a better/stronger skater |

15 quality pounds in 6 months = PEDs. IMO - Big_E_88
Farabee is a 19 YO college kid. He'll have no problem putting on weight if he is on the right program and led by the right people without PEDs.
Looking after his body like this is his literal job now.

I really hope Frost makes the team next year. If we can get 1 All-Star FA signing we are a playoff team again. One offensive all-star and 1 #2-#3 defenseman will make us Cup contenders IMO. I have a feeling one of Voracek or Ghost wont be back next year, I'm guessing Ghost.
JVR-Couturier-Giroux
????-Patrick-Voracek
Lindblom-Frost-Konecny (Frosts and Konecny's speed excites me.)
Laughton-Knight-Hartman
Provorov-??????
Morin-Sanheim
Gudas/Hagg-Myers
Hart
Talbot
Obviously If Morin isnt working you replace him with Gudas, and Freidman is your 7th.
?????? on defense could be T.Myers, or Trouba if we trade for him and I'm thinking Panarin or Duchene for the offense. Maybe Hayes. - youarewrong

Not to mention he is probably currently playing light, it's hard to maintain weight throughout the course of a season practicing everyday and games on the weekends. He should have no problem putting on 10 pounds. Regardless, I don't think he makes the big club out of camp. |

This organization has harbored a weird fascination with Knight since 2016, but I figured that was because of Knight's UND ties.
Nowadays, I have no idea how he found his way into favor. |

Doughty has only played in one team. Doughty is going to go into the Hall of Fame. That puts him in the same class. |

So Peter Forsberg is in the same class as Wayne Gretzky? Both in the hall of fame right. Stop this garbage. |

Gretzky us widely considered the best player ever. Pronger is not in that class. Make a reasonable comparison as I did.

I used that example to show you how absurd saying they are/will be in the HOF is. I'm done with this argument. |

if ghost struggles again why would a team trade for him? - 2Real
With that contract, he'll have plenty of suitors. On top of that teams always can use defensemen who can carry the puck and help a PP. |
