BLOW. IT. UP.
Trade anyone and everyone not named Dahlin. Should have started with Skinner at the deadline. Now he'll walk for nothing in July.
Start with Risto and Samson and move on from there. Buyout Okposo and Bogo if they can't be traded.
And for heaven's sake, fire the coaching staff and hire someone who will command the respect of the players.

We need Phill for 7 more games but l’ll be very disappointed if he’s back next year. Also Botts needs to open up the cheque book this offseason and enact another offseason of moves to get some depth on this roster. |

Has anyone seen Jeff Skinner ? I’ve found Matthews, he’s actually playing his best hockey since that game against us this past week. Still haven’t found Jeff though. He’s lurking somewhere. |

Stammer disappears in the playoffs though. Hopefully for your sake it doesn’t happy this year. They are primed for another run at the cup. |

Not as bad as I thought. Maybe it’s just in the certain moments of the series, like game 7 against the Caps last year for example, when the team desperately needs a goal and he just is nowhere to be found in the third period of that game. |

Man, sure must’ve felt good for some of you when Samsonite’s goal got disallowed. Meanwhile Blues pick up to warrior points. ROR with the game winner. Hey, we got super sniper Tage Thompson so we’re all set. Cause for termination. Infuriating. |

Whoever is remaining on the board between Turcotte/Zegras/Boldy. Huge fan of Cozens/Podkolzin as well but I believe they go top 5. |

Turcotte to me is a poor mans Barkov or a rich mans Bo Horvat. Depends on how you want to look at it. I think he’s closer to Barkov then Horvat.
Zegras is similar in style to Barzal but doesn’t have barzal’s top end speed. He’s a playmaker through, and through though and can also play LW effectively.
Boldy is a shoot first winger who can score at ease but also has very underrated playmaking skills. Great skater for his size. Would look great next to Jack. Many scouts think they see a Selkie or two in his future.

Beane seems to like to drop nuggets when having pressers amongst his peers at league events. I can’t tell if they are smoke screens. Said they’re drafting at 9, but don’t need to be during Sr. Bowl. Now he says this is a great spot for trades to happen at the Owners’ meeting. |

The Top 2 picks will be Hughes(C), then Kakko(RW)
After that, it’s really tough to say
The Russian kid- Podkolzin(RW) is a pretty clear 3rd, but he may fall due to (legit) questions that he may want to stay in Russia
The next talent group is:
Cozens- C
Boldy- LW
Zegras- C
Krebs- C
Turcotte- C
There’s really no consensus as to the order,
so it’ll be up to teams personal preference
Cozens is generally picked the earliest of this group in most mocks/rankings
The rest shuffle quite a bit
A defenseman like Bynum or Soderstrom might sneak into that group somewhere too
Then next grouping goes till around 22
So if we get the StL pick we should be very happy with whoever falls to us
If we get the SJ pick & choose in the late 20s,
it becomes much more of a toss up imo
At that point,
we’ve gotta hope someone falls
or possibly consider taking the top goalie prospect (Knight) |

I see a lot of Ryan Getzlaf in Kirby Dach’s game. He is one prospect though I haven’t heard much of in quite some time as he was ranked in the top 5 before the season started. I’m thinking he’s starting to drop due to his foot speed.
Cozens is a beast. Probably the best skater in the draft and he’s got a power forward frame. There is nobody that comes to mind in terms of NHL comparisons at the moment but he has a good shot and looks the part of a 1st line player at the NHL level.
Podkolzin is the Russian Brad Marchand. Looks like a superstar when playing peers his own age group and has made quite a few enemies at U18 tournaments due to his bite and snarl. However his club play back in Russia has left a lot to be desired and he has mentioned he is in no rush to come over to NA. Could lead to a tumble in his draft stock.
Peyton Krebs is a C/LW who is carrying his Kootenany team like a current Sabre who also donned the same jersey and went 2nd overall in 2014. Krebs is a similar player to Sam, both cerebral, both playmakers, I think Krebs has a bit more footspeed then Sam however and slightly better shot.
Cole Caulfield/Arthur Kaliyev- probably the best pure goal scorers in the draft. Caulfield however is 5’6 and Kaliyev leaves a lot to be desired in every other facet of his game. These are top 10 sleeper picks along with Alex Newhook who looks like an electrifying talent out of the BCHL putting up over 2PPG. Newhook gives Cozens a run for his money in the speed department but it’s hard to gauge how good he really is playing in the BCHL, could be a Keller clone. |

NBCsports had a Top10 show on Euro born players
Pretty interesting list
Honorable mention:
Lundqvist, Karlsson
10- Forsberg
9- Salming
8- Federov
7- Sundin
6- Kurri
5- Hasek
4- Ovechkin
3- Selanne
2- Lidstrom
1- Jagr
Some really good players left off,
but idk who you’d remove from the list
Bure should’ve at least got honorable mention imo
Malkin, Alfredsson, Datsyuk & Zetterberg too
I’m sure there’s some older guys I’m forgetting too |
