I wouldn't count the Leafs out. Especially the Bruins. It's not like they swept them back to back playoff series'. Doesn't matter anyway. Tampa is better than both teams. - gergeswillems
TB is likely the best of the three. I think Boston will give them a run for their money. I think Leafs brass will be trying hard to find some D in the off season. Playoffs will expose all of that. |

Hallelujah! Is this really the first predictions post where we will NOT have a clueless reader asking "how can you predict so many shutouts, and why do you think no one will score more than 2 goals?" [/img] |

Enough said, really. They are good enough to be a playoff team, but they lack depth and a lot more.
Are they really good enough to be a playoff team if they lack depth and 'a lot more'? |

Meh, I think the Leafs will have the Bruins number this year. I have a feeling they're going to dump them with ease.
I wouldn't bet against the Bolts, but it's not like this is the first year they've had an elite team, and it hasn't won them a cup yet, so I wouldn't assume Boston or Toronto couldn't beat them.
It's a shame 3 of the best teams in the league are in one division. You put any one of the 3 in the West, and they're the favourites to win the conference. |

really? because their goaltending is lousy, their defence is poop and outside of their top 3 forwards, their group of forwards sucks too. and they've been out of the race since February in a conference where the Arizona Coyotes are challenging for a playoff spot. |

it's possible that Tampa stumbles. but the most likely scenario is them laying waste to every team that gets in their way. their playoff series will likely be short and anti-climactic. |

As underdog they took them to 7 games. And they got by them because they have Bergeron that can shut down the top line.
But the Leafs have 2 deadly lines now. Different story.
I think the Bruins will struggle against that.
Just a feeling. |

Well, in fairness, he said they "lack depth".
As in, they lack more depth than 3 NHL caliber players.

yeah, well those defensive pairings have done pretty well when they're all healthy, which they're becoming, at the right time. |

Leafs D is still porous. Reilly and Muzzin are good. That’s it.
Gardiner is horrible in his own end. Hainsey is getting older. But hey at least Their offence is great.
Another thing to remember is that Rask and Halak are both solid this year. Rask was not great in last years playoffs. If the Bs match goaltending with Toronto then things get a lot easier. |
