I think the difference between last nights game and the calgary game your showing is Hyman was not in the blue paid when he touched Rask. Have no idea if that was what the refs looked at or not. |

Very well could be? The frustration is that across the league, there is no consistency. What is interference one night is not the next night in the same situation. |

Habs fan here, I agree that most certainly wasn’t a great effort by the Bruins but that goal should have been waived off. A playoffs game should not be decided on such a crapy call. I know it was the first goal but if that one is waived off, it's 1-1 at the final whistle... |

Looks outside the crease to me - ask yourself this did Rask have ANY hope of stopping that shot? |

Looks like off-side to me, maybe you should have changed your post to "it's 2-0 at the final whistle" |

You are correct, this is a league wide problem that most teams have both benefited from and cursed. Maybe the best option to is just let the situation room make the calls if they deem them close, they do that late in the game already so just let them take over.

I really don’t see it that way. A lot of people are saying this but Toronto is playing very well. Bos was favoured to win but it’s not like they are just gonna come out and dominate. Boston had opportunities to score first in game 5 and just didn’t get it done.
It was kind of a boring game, chess match type game, nobody wanting to make a mistake. |

Honestly, it was goaltender interference if they were calling it the way they were most of the year. There did seem to be a slight shift later this year and some of the calls ended up like this, where there was some interference but it wouldnt have affected whether or not the goal have been scored so they counted it. Maybe that’s a reason they called it this way, who knows what the standard is.
There has been very little consistency in the interference calls from day one, it’s a tough break for the Bruins, especially in such a close series where one goal can make all the difference. Leafs got lucky, but either team deserved to win. Sucks for bruins fans that it hinged on a call like that. |

This could have been either way, I agree the league must be consistent. That being said, these teams are very evenly matched. In the first 5 games in this serious, Boston has consistently got all the calls, 2 of the 3 penalties last night were debatable, Chara is with out a doubt one of the dirtiest players in the game. Bostons goal was clearly off side too.
May the best team win

Piss off bud! By that photo you cannot tell exactly where the puck is at that time. Nice try!

What's your feeling on the Bruins goal which was reviewed, decided to be "Good", but was clearly offside? |

Shocking take from a Habs fan (blogger) who can't even be bothered to address the offside goal by the Bruins.
At least try to give a reasonable analysis, even if you are a Habs fan.

Andrew Raycroft had an interesting idea in a tweet last night. I guess Marty Biron and Cam Talbot discussed it somewhere, but how about have a goalie in the situation room? I like it because 1. goalies are all a little bananas, so adding some craziness to the situation room may be fun. 2. I think having a goalie's mentality in these type of situations could help the group deciding on the call as a whole. |

It’s really impossible to tell where the puck exactly was in relation to the blue line on the Bruins entry into the zone on their goal.
The goalie interference is what it is. There was contact, it wasn’t overturned. No surprise. No consistency with these and they make it up as they go along. Review board must have not been satisfied if Rask was in his crease or not.
No one talking about Hymans hold on Mccavoy along the boards prior to Matthews goal. But Leaf fans wanna call out Chara for a cross check on Hyman. Lmao give me a break. It’s happened all series both ways with physicality in front of the nets. How about krejci getting decked in front of Tor net with 30 sec left in game 3.
