I would expect they will put Ozhiganov into one of those spots, even if he stumbles. They have few options. - Tonybere
Yeah they'll be able to completely fill out a roster card, but I think they're going to be worse next year. Not to mention that, god forbid, something happens to Andersen...they are majorly (frank)ed.
They'll only be able to LTIR Horton's contract for next year and then they're really going to be in a tough spot moving forward. Only two defenseman signed through next season and one of them is Zaitsev.
They're probably going to have to dump Kadri somewhere, if not this offseason then definitely the next. I'd like to see the Isles be all over that, but a lot of teams will be calling on him for sure.
Tampa needs to make a trade, I'd gladly take back Callahan to get back Erne or Paquette. - tomburton99
Get the (frank) away from my golden ticket idea. I want Callahan and Cirelli. You can do better than a fourth liner, like Paquette, for literally giving them the cap space to sign Point.
My band is picking up Feeling Alright for an upcoming gig. I've only ever known the Joe Cocker version, so therefore I have never known the words!!! - Tonybere
Funny cuz it's true
Speaking of Joe C, isn't Feelin Alright the song that Belushi and Cocker did on Saturday Night Live? That skit was hilarious.
Wow this is great!!! Never heard it- thanks!! We cover Remedy- fun song to play. - Greschnergy#4
Yes, it is! I have never heard that one either. Not sure I'm up for that kind of rockstar performance, though!! And we'd need to bring in another guitar and a bongo player.

Well you're not getting players like Point or Marner or Tkachuk unless you sign them an 11 milion dollar offer sheet.

I meant that by taking Callahan you can get them to give you a better player than Paquette to go along with him. Taking that Callahan deal off their books gives them a massive chunk of cap space to get Point signed with. I've been saying for 2 or 3 months that I would love for the Isles to take Callahan but get them to send Cirelli with him as well.
I wasn't suggesting offer sheeting anyone.
But if I were going to suggest an offer sheet, which I won't because they're not real, I'd be saying that someone should offer Kevin Labanc a $4M deal because San Jose is in a real tough spot, cap-wise, this offseason and they might have trouble matching it if he were to sign. Cost to the offer sheeting team would only be a 2nd round pick.
I don't remember that one.
We do the Beatles arrangement of Bathroom Window, but I sing it like Cocker. Great opener to get everyone into it. - Tonybere
I only recently learned it's Jimmy Page on guitar on his version of Little Help from My Friends, that's Jimmy on the opening guitar bends
