I don’t have an ego about it, this is what I would do. Instead of saying you would put X with X, it’s just ur a franking moron no way we’re paying Panarin to put him on the 2nd line blah blah blah.

I think if you came in once in a while with some jokes, some comedy, something funny and non serious it would go a long way with some of us. It’s constructive criticism, but take it for what’s its worth even Tom can be funny!

There is no rational reason you put the most talented winger we have had in years on the 2nd line. Thats a hockey conversation. Convince me other wise. You want a conversation, but get mad when someone disagrees. This makes no sense

Panarin is just Alex Semin with a good nickname.

I actually didn't say that, but the reason I never even talk about line combos is that they change every damn game anyway

It’s just to give you an idea of who is probably not going to be here next year. I don’t see spots for Vesey and Nam, I think Buch could be used to upgrade because I think his skill set is best used in the top 6 and if we signed Panarin plus Kravtsov and Kakko I don’t think putting him on the 3rd line would best use his skills. That’s why I think either him or Kreider could be traded.

but dont you also see that keeping Buch around with Panarin and Kravstov might be a good idea?

I’m not mad about it, I can have that talk. I think we’re guna have a bunch of young guys and splitting them up with vets would help them as opposed to loading up one line. If Panarin is on the “2nd” line but still getting PP time he’s going to be out there the same amount as Kreider/Zib. Creates matchup problems for other teams also. Let’s say we loaded the top line, IMO we have to many young guys on those other 2 lines.

Kreider Zib Panarin
Chytil Strome Kravtsov
Kakko Andersson Buch

I think those 2nd and 3rd lines would struggle big time. Panarin is the type of guy that makes the other guys on his line better

I do, I just think it’s very possible either him or Kreider is traded if we sign Panarin. You might not agree and that’s fine, just my opinion.

there's going to be some trades, I dont think there's any doubt

but the way I look at Buchnevich right now is that he's been damn infuriating at times his first 3 years, and finally FINALLY it all seemed to click

I think trading him now would be like trading Kovalev the first time, went he went on to Pittsburgh and then scored 44 goals

I think you just drop Kreider to the 2nd line. You put the Buch with Panarin between the frosted hair fella. I think it would help Buch's game tremendously to have Panarin playing with him.

Kreider and Kravtsov would still be a very good line. Just need to figure out if Chytil would be ready to be the 2nd line center

Kovalev was much worse though because he had already been a 30 goal guy with us. I agree with your general jist of Buch though. I think KZB has been such a good line for us, you want to see that line continue to grow. That's why I would think maybe Panarin plays on the 2nd line. Give him Stinky and Kravs for our own Ruskie line.

Trading Shattenkirk would be an enormous mistake.

WHY

- jimbro83

Because you could just buy him out for... 10.6 million dollars.
