I was looking at Rubens comments about the team being slow. I think Hughes will be a starting point to change that. Having Sutter back will make the team faster. Brock said he will work on his skating this year.
I don't think Canucks are a slow team at all. They are not the fastest team but I would say they are fast enough for now. - VANTEL
That guy is an idiot.đ
I think you will see Rafferty making the team as well as Hughes, Juolevi, after a stint in Utica, and possibly, one of Sautner or Brisebois.
I know that is Ă lot of rookies, but this defense needs a purging.
Not sold on Gaudette yet, so I think Sutter sticks around for another season, Granlund done.
Think MacEwen gets a legitimate chance in camp and I expect/hope Lind has a great off-season, forcing himself onto the roster.

Sending guys to the minors isnât exactly change. Itâs essentially the same team still. - 1970vintage
Pouliot played 62 games for Canucks last year
Goldobin played 63 games for the Canucks last year
Schaller played 47 games for the Canucks last year
Hutton played 69 games for the Canucks last year
Having them play 0 games for the Canucks in the 2019-2020 season to me is change . |

Thereâs way too many bottom six players in Benningâs acquisition stable, this has to change.
Top six,
Pettersson Horvat Boeser / Pearson Baertschi (debatable)
Bottom six,
Roussel Virtanen Leivo Eriksson Goldobin Granlund Motte Sutter Gaudette Beagle Schaller
Thereâs eleven players for six spots in the bottom six. - Pacificgem
I feel as if you don't realize that maybe 4 teams in the league have 6 players that belong in the top 6. |

Agree with everything here except Lind is still two years away. No hurry

They are not a fast club, either. - Marwood
Agree they aren't on the McDavid-McKinnon-Barzal level but as team it's improving.
Hughes already skates better than 2/3rd of the players in the league.
But yes they have about 4-5 players that are slightly below NHL standard speed but they'll work on it. |

...they can fire Benning. - Marwood
When that day arrives, it will be a glorious day. Any yahoo can finish near the bottom and pick from the best kids in the world at a 60% success rate. Whereâs his second to sixth rounds from the past six drafts? |

I think Sutter is toast man. He looked so so slow. The most crucial thing os find a way to fix the de.
Juolevi will help Hughes will help hopefully a trade will help
Frustrating seeing that in year 6 of Benning we have 1 nhl dman maybe in Hughes long shot at 2 with juolevi since JB took over. Frightening really - Jkuzzi
Sutters' injuries are killing his career. He's probably done. |

Too much money, guessing, I like what he brings but the team needs to improve its skill level first then get some heavier players. I donât think heâs played much in the playoffs. - Pacificgem
He's exactly what the team needs but yeah he'll want cash and term.
He's been hurt for this years playoffs so I think he's only dressed for 3 games. |

What about just hiring another AGM, whoâs shown capable of some of the things Benning (and Weisbrod) have proven terrible at? In a year or two (or three) you can always promote from within.
Makes no difference the titles, but the Canucks lack brain power at the top so the need someone smart to join the team. - 1970vintage
That would be ok, but I don't like seeing anyone holding both the President and the GM roles, like Benning currently is doing. |

Maybe he fires everyone from the '80's Oilers. That would be a good start. Fire Wayne, Coffey and all of the other old boys in various positions. |

I donât care what the masses are doing, I care about what the best teams in the league are doing because I want us to be one of those teams. All the teams left in the playoffs have six good top six players. |

if you were drafted four/five years ago and youâre still developing, youâre probably not going to be an impact player. Thatâs what I mean. Benning and company need to find a Point, Marchand, Heinen, Guentzal, Arvidsson, Lindblom, Aho, etc.
I will say this, the past two years (drafts) have been vastly improved from the previous three years. |

Not yet, I just wonder if the game has evolved to younger exec's like Dubas for example? I'm not sold on the Benning/Weisbrod tandem and with all denials coming from FA, i'm not quite sure he is either. JB has 2 more years on his deal. |

I guess. I just donât see Benning walking away from any of those guys except Pouliot. #assetmanagement
I also think they qualify Granlund, Gaunce, Boucher, and whatever other farm hands are RFAâs in Utica.
He will go shopping for a top 6 winger and a top 4 D, I just donât think our idea of what this is will be the same as what will be available to the Canucks this off season.
I hope Iâm wrong... |

There isnât a President, no one holds that title currently. Not every team has a president, itâs a relatively new role. I would just like to see more (diverse) people in management. Having everyone on the same page is easy when thereâs only two of you... |
