Rome wasn’t built in a day
We’ve got a chance to be good fairly soon,
IF
we can sign Skinner

If not...
the suffering continues

???

By "soon", you mean after at least 2 rather memorable offseasons of purging the team and finding productive players who buy into the system and are tough to play against.

Center - we have 1 really good one, who still needs to take his game to the next level. We think we may have a 2C if he develops well over the next 2 seasons. Then a bunch of prospects who may be serviceable.
LW - we have 1 for the top line, who may end up walking away. We have a promising rookie who looks good so far in 8 nhl games. We have a 3rd liner who needs double blades to remain upright.
RW - 1 who is either a 1 or 2 liner. Nothing else.
LD - the "STRENGTH" of the team...at least in numbers after Dahlin
RD - oh boy
G - 2 backups.
Coach - well, many have supposedly passed so far
Gm - on his last legs, hoping not to drown.

But, we are going to be good.

No one wants to play here. No one wants to coach here. No one wants to general manage here. No one wants to own here. No one wants to live here. No one likes Buffalo. There are no jobs here. There are no homes here. There are no schools, no businesses, and no food. We might as well call this city the moon, because it's desolate.

Great article on The Athletic by Stimson regarding the most effective use of Risto.
For those that think highly of him, please read it with an open mind, as well as the article by Chad DeDominices on Die by the Blade about 10 days ago.
Interesting, data-driven analysis that really has no basis on here, lol.

Everything matters that happens on the ice, but proper analysis tells us the degree to which it does.

Faceoffs and special teams do not matter, so the rest of the article is useless.

Maybe Krueger will be our upper management/buffer guy

Not the head coach

Maybe he then has a recommendation for coach

- Boss34

I would be fine with that.

So no Bogo or Pilut until at least 2 months into the season next year... Montour hurt and pulled from the Worlds yesterday.

Good luck to the pitchfork crew shouting "WE HAVE TO TRADE RISTO" this summer.

Do we know what Montour's injury is? Considering it will be 5 months before the season starts, I'm not too concerned. Regardless, I do think there a few UFA d men to consider.

It only takes 20 minutes to circle the city on a slow traffic day and you can figure this out. It’s a one dimensional town with horrible weather and very little upside. One guy came in and bought up majority of the area.

It takes a certain type of person to enjoy living there, it’s not bad or good, that’s just how it is.

It's one of the things I miss most about Buffalo

Here in Orlando it takes at least 20 mins to get anywhere

To circle the damn city it takes 3 hours and downtown Orlando is about the same size as downtown Buffalo

IMO - it’s not just a Buffalo thing, I don’t like how many areas are vehicle dependent, I’m a horrible driver so it’s not ideal for me.

Yeah you had to go through tourist city to get there.

Had to go through Disney, by Sea World, almost to Universal and I Drive.

Seriously a friend of ours lives 2 miles away, it takes 15 minutes to get to their house.

It is in the same Elementary school district we are in. 15 mins, by car.

It is insane

Yea probably. We were staying in a gated neighborhood in an AirBnB a few miles past where the Medieval Times and WalMart is.

Yup you had to deal with I4, the outlet mall traffic and all of that on top of it

I live east of the city so the only time I venture that way is when we go to Disney or Universal
