Miller was 1/3rd of the reason our playoff drought doesn't extend to '07 imo - with Vanek and Pommer making up the remainder. He wasn't flashy, but he was steady and reliable. I don't think Biron could have done that |

I understand that hating on Ryan Miller has been your thing for years but at least actually state facts.
Ryan Miller has a higher career s% than Biron. In fact, Miller has a better S% in 4 season than Biron had at his career best. I know your a huge Trump mark but don't just slang bullcrap all over the place and expect people to think it's fact like he does.

Ah.. Maybe I misunderstood the usage of flashy in terms of style vs great plays.
His desperation saves were GD legendary. |

????
Homie this is wrong
Also
2005-2006 Sabres Miller 2.60 GAA .914 sv% Biron 2.88 GAA .905 sv%
2006-2007 Sabres Miller 2.73 GAA .911sv% Biron 3.04 GAA .899 sv%
Marty wouldn't have lasted in the style the Sabres played as a #1
There is a reason Miller took Biron's starting job |

I asked a simple question, why does Miller have the same GAA in the NHL as Biron?
Biron did play on the worst team, the bankrupt sabres
has nothing to do with trump or a hatred for miller
I never said I hated Miller, I said he is/was over rated, and I am allowed to have that opinion |

the 3 on 0 save against Boston was his best IMO. Absolutely outstanding, lucky but outstanding....

what did he win?
I mean we do live in an era for participation trophies
he was a good goalie with longevity |

Marty played a big bulk of his games in the early 2000's pre lockout, clutch and grab lowest scoring era's in the NHL.
That is why his GAA is tied with Millers |

Yeah, I just mean he isn't a J. Quick type athlete. Miller's skill is outstanding positioning and hockey sense - obviously with a healthy amount of skill |

No there wasn't
There was only 1 season where statistically Marty had a better season than Miller and that was 2007-2008 which we all know what happened July 1st 2007
Also you typed sv% not GAA
As for why they're the same Marty played almost half of his games in the dead puck era.
That is why it's so low

Only 1 season in the 2000's pre lockout did the Sabres finish below .500

Of course... had some big sprawling ones against NYI too.
His OT blind diving glove save vs Boston in the playoffs.
The breakaway vs NJD when he poked it up into the air then batted it a second time with his stick over the net is a favorite of mine. |
