Miller is overrated by a lot of people

but he is way better than Marty

He isn't Hasek but he's a top 3 goaltender in this organization

Marty is not top 10

Of course... had some big sprawling ones against NYI too.

His OT blind diving glove save vs Boston in the playoffs.

The breakaway vs NJD when he poked it up into the air then batted it a second time with his stick over the net is a favorite of mine.

he really did have some great saves... I always liked him..

Biron was outstanding in 2001-02 IMO

people are quick to forget how good he was that season

- homiedclown

That was really his only really slightly above average year he ever had as a start in the NHL.

Still not better than Miller in 2009-2010 though.

It is rather surprising that Mary went 31-28 with that good of stats and Miller's were better and went 41-18.

He might be. I definitely agree that he's not top 3 and Miller is, but after Hasek, Miller, and Crozier, there hasn't been anything special. Fuhr had some household name recognition but was average here at best. Other than that, it's a whole bunch of mediocre.

EDIT: forgot about Edwards.

Marty had 1 good year

and it wasn't even that good

League leader in sv% that year was at .931

GAA was 1.94

Marty was 7th in the league (minimum 45 games played) in sv%
he was 10th in GAA that year as well

The next year with the same roster he came back down to earth

So he had 1 slightly above average year one year with a bad roster and then came back down to earth the following year with the same roster and finished in the bottom half of the league in starter statistics and you're calling that a win?

Maybe I am missing what you're trying to say

THIS

I loved Puppa

He was my favorite as a kid

I got to play golf with him when I was 8 years old

He lives in Tampa now, I see him from time to time.

Mucks screwed up trying to bring in his Edmonton boy. That team would have competed for a Cup, especially when Hasek came on board.

I met Balfour on a work trip in Canada a few years back to his home town. He was just walking around a convenient store... NBD.

Hasek
Edwards
Miller
Suave
Barasso
Crozier
Dejsardains

Other than that who cares?

Malrchuck
Puppa
Biron
Shields (he was pretty solid his time here)
Dryden

They all lump into the same IMO

I asked a simple question, why does Miller have the same GAA in the NHL as Biron?

Biron did play on the worst team, the bankrupt sabres

has nothing to do with trump or a hatred for miller

I never said I hated Miller, I said he is/was over rated, and I am allowed to have that opinion

He is half right. I'd take Teddy over Jacques.

I most definitely have hit my head though, so make of that what you will.

They almost screwed it up, based on where we are today it's clear that it doesn't matter anyway. But Arturs Irbe may have been the best goalie coach of all time

the 3 on 0 save against Boston was his best IMO. Absolutely outstanding, lucky but outstanding....
- hehateme

He had the luckiest stick blade of all time, just jump back and wave it around and it attracted pucks.
