I'd take Perry on a 1 year, 1 million dollar deal if they buy him out.
But no way should they take him on his current deal. No way, no how. |

I agree with Fergie here. I don’t see Seguin or Hamilton keeping that team out of the basement. - RickJames77
Seguin and young Kadri would have been trouble together IMO.
Hamilton would have been booed out of town for going to museums. |

Thornton - Kinger34
Already said it's San Jose or nothing. And the only way to convince him otherwise (over-payment) isn't an option. See Marleau. |

I didn't realize he said that, and I would only take him on a 1 year cap friendly deal. |

Except if he's on your team.
If that guy can score 20 goals at 1 million AAV, maybe bring some sandpaper in the playoffs, he's worth the roll of the dice.
At this point, it doesn't look like the Leafs D will be worth a damn thing next year so if they can get cheap offense and a back-up to give Andersen more breaks, that might be the best they can do for next year. |

Seguin and Hamilton would look absolutely tremendous for the Leafs right now though... - JohnFergusonJr
For sure. I wasn’t downplaying that trade, just that we’ve made even worse ones over the years. |

Other than Niedermayer, there hasn't been a worse one in 25-30+ years. |

You forget the return of Wendel clark.... or how about tukka rask? Luongo And Tukka have had more of an impact than dougie Hamilton. Kessel has actually produced more than Seguin. Like an argument can be made Seguin for kessel was even. Hamilton slants things Boston's way....but not as much trading away Tukka and luongo. |

What makes that a little worse was that it was Kenny Jonsson and Luongo just to get Clark back. I love Wendel, but that was an overpayment |

Yeah the Rask trade is really the brutal one from that era, worse than the Kessel trade. |

JFJ knew he'd bolt for Boston over a decade later, so the Rask trade was done as a favour. There's no way he actually thought Pogge was better. Also, Rask didn't want to play in the minors. |
