Sure.
Hes never scored 30 goals at any level of hockey in his career and one willy wife has already pointed out that if we believe willie to be a scorer than we dont understand willie as a player.

Mixed signals i suppose
Good for the leafs if he can

I see a better chance for Willy hitting 30 than Marner next season.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that we need to sell high on Johnsson, keep Kapanen.

If the Leafs trade one of them - it will be the opposite of this.

I love them both , but the leafs are short on LW and long on RW (Bracco etc.)

So, trade Johnsson, who is a LW and keep Kapanen who is a RW?

Sacarsm didn't come through on that one.

Matthews looks more like a modern day speed skater than hockey player from the 90's

This is interesting and something that should pay off eventually, but will take a while.

What we are doing here is somewhat unique at this point in time in that Kyle’s vision is to have a minor league system that is analogous to the paradigm used in baseball where you use your ECHL franchise as the entry-level platform for players to go,” Leafs assistant general manager Laurence Gilman said. “That’s the goal, ultimately, for us as we try to develop players in a salary cap system where it’s infinitely more cost-efficient to develop your own players than to go out and find them in the free agent market. So hopefully we continue that pipeline. Hopefully there’s graduation.”

There was an article a few years back about a Leafs prospect who had turned his career around when he was shipped to St. John's (back when it was the Leafs' AHL affiliate*).

He basically said that it was great for him, because his apartment, the arena and the gym were all within a five block radius, and there wasn't a helluva lot more to do (I'm guessing he meant "other than drinking), so it forced him to solely focus on his hockey.

So if you can keep the puck bunnies away, sending 20 year old kids to the Growlers might be a good idea before placing them on the Marlies.

Or it could turn them into alcoholics. And fathers.

* I still have a St. John's Maple Leafs touque from when I visited in 2003.

They’re at home, they have the momentum, Rask should probably win the Conn Smyth regardless of the outcome, and they are just an overall better team. They should win this pretty easily.

The NBA says Marc Gasol should have been given two free throws when Golden State Warriors player DeMarcus Cousins committed a shooting foul with 49 seconds left in the final quarter of Game 5 Monday.

oh, refs missed an obvious call against a Toronto team that could have won the series? i. am. so. shocked.

It will happen again in Game 6 and Game 7. After each game, the league will issue an apology to the Raptors.

I'm really only interested to know how long Kadri's suspension will be after some Blues player hits a currently unnamed Bruin player, who embellishes?

In all seriousness, at this point in time. I am more interested in the off-season than I am about a Game 7 for the Cup.

They're ppg is pretty even .83 to .87.

Kessel ppg in the playoffs blows him away. Kessel is .87 seguin .54

Yeah and benn is a nobody.

Compared to Malkin and Crosby? On the PP?

You're adorable.

I think you're forgetting about a players age curve though. Seguin will outperform Kessel for years to come. He's 27 and Kessel is 31.
- RickJames77

And completely (conveniently) forgetting the Crosby and Malkin effect.
