Be interesting to see what Dubas does here, lots of chatter and speculation, but the cone of silence there really says enough. We won't know until something is literally imminent or done. Standard the last couple years there. Just how the Leafs finally operate.

I don't know on Perry really, not when we have the cheap young talent still. That said I think until we know exactly who is being moved and for what then we can kind of see who fits.

Have to think the Zaitsev/Marleau trades will happen. To much smoke there for it not to be a fire. IMO, it comes down to what Kappy, Johnsson and Marner sign for.

Marleau wouldn’t be too tough to move with just the year left, but Zaitsev

I don't think Zaitsev would be that tough to move. After his bonus is paid on July 1. Also, Vancouver and Detroit are rumoured to be interested in him

JFJ knew he'd bolt for Boston over a decade later, so the Rask trade was done as a favour. There's no way he actually thought Pogge was better. Also, Rask didn't want to play in the minors.

No thanks to Perry, I think he makes Lucic look like McDavid.

What does he have 5 years left at 4.5 million? I personally want my team to have no part of that contract.

We’re already shelving a 6 million dollar contract for a game 7 loss to the Blues

If we had Gardiner we’d have found a way to loan him to the Blues for game 7. For (frank)s sake Patrick, have I taught you nothing?

You forget the return of Wendel clark.... or how about tukka rask? Luongo And Tukka have had more of an impact than dougie Hamilton. Kessel has actually produced more than Seguin. Like an argument can be made Seguin for kessel was even. Hamilton slants things Boston's way....but not as much trading away Tukka and luongo.
- mykokes

No he hasn't. Seguin has a higher PPG and he hasn't had the luxury of playing with Crosby and Malkin for the past 4 seasons.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that we need to sell high on Johnsson, keep Kapanen.

I'd take Perry on a 1 year, 1 million dollar deal if they buy him out.

But no way should they take him on his current deal. No way, no how.

- JohnFergusonJr

Anaheim would need to eat some that cap. 3 mill at least. If Perry is bought out by Anaheim, I think he'd have a few teams wanting his services.

Isn't Marleau at 6.25 x 1 better than Perry at even 4.5 over two years. I think so.

They'd be better just eating half of Marleau's salary and trading him for nothing.
