Why would Edmonton even think about trading RNH for Chris Kreider when RNH is younger and a centre and had 69 points last year vs Kreider who had a career high 52 points and is 2 years older. As far as trading Puljujarvi, I think the Oilers wouldn't mind if he went and played in Europe for a year playing against lesser competition and looking like a super star to drastically increase his trade value. So I think Edmonton holds all the cards and doesn't have to do anything. - Woowy
Thanks for your common sense. Implying that Edmonton holds no cards is ridiculous to say the least. Kinda like how Yzerman held no cards when it came to the Drouin fiasco? Yeah, utter nonsense. |

Or that Sakic wasn't going to get full value for Duchene because he requested a trade |

holy poop did he score on that one
I think all of us are skeptical on Edmonton ever making a good trade, no matter who the GM is |

They gotta make at least one before I start to change my mind, even with a new GM.
While they're not totally comparable players, I don't see them getting a much better return for Puljujarvi than the Islanders got for Niederreiter...which was a 3rd rounder and a bottom-six winger. I don't think anyone is gonna be happy with the return for him if they move him, but may as well gain some assets if the other option is to just let him go back to Europe. |

Strome was one of the better Rangers to finish the season but a lot of people don't want him cause of what else but analytics, same ones who wanted Clendening while he didn't produce |

when it comes to Strome, a lot of people notice that his buyout is for real cheap
I dont think they'd do it though, seems very inlikely |
