With Myers likely headed to Vancouver I think the Winnipeg Jets are the team for Ristolainen
Get ehlers - gerbe75pts
They are also meeting with Gardiner. |

Get Colin Miller knights will probably just throw him away - gerbe75pts
Sabres should target Tuch and Miller from VGK.
If Ehlers is truly on the block, him as well.
Rounded out with Rentals Vesey and Toffoli
Skinner Eichel Reinhart
Ehlers Casey Tuch
Vesey Rodrigues Toffoli
Smith Girgensons Okposo
Dahlin Miller
McCabe Montour
Pilut (idk who until he is ready) Ristolainen |

Toffoli shouldn't cost much.
Ehlers for ristolainen and something.
Vegas is in cap issues. Idk, 2020 1st (protected), nylander and Thompson for Miller, tuch and clarkson
We need major changes |

I don't think we can afford the something it would take to get Ehlers. Also you had Risto in that projected lineup
I can't see vegas moving Tuch, certainly not to sell low. He's legit, they'll probably convince ottawa to take him to get to the cap floor.
Colin Miller's a legit target though, I think he can be had at a decent price. |

I actually think the goaltending is a bigger problem than the 2C. Not that it isn't a big problem, but Hutton and Ullmark were dreadful big picture. Unless they plan on adding 3 of the best defensive d-men in the league, they will likely be swiss cheese again. |

Agreed. Vegas will make a deal or two, but they aren't going to get robbed. They need to move good players on decent contracts, not cap dumps. |

I would think the duo of Miller and Eakin together are a viable target, especially if the rumors are true regarding how close Vegas is with William Karlsson on a new deal. |

The defense and defensive zone coverage was beyond terrible last year. You put price or Henrik in net, they would also struggle.
Fix the defense and the goaltending improves big time.

I feel like the goalies were at the mercy of the defensive "system" if you want to even call it a system. Im flabbergasted that a former defenceman made the team play man on man. I could see goals coming all year when the team started chasing in their own zone. It actually got to be pretty predictable. Chase the puck, chase the puck, chase the puck, boom, in the net. It happened a lot. Not that the goalies shouldnt have stopped some of them, but even Hutton said that he was used to backstopping a more structured defensive system in St. Louis. Im kinda out of hope with this team, but im still hoping Freddy Krueger can help right this ship. We have some scrubs, but we also have some legit talent and shouldn't be as bad as we are.

No he does not win the argument. We do not know what will become of TT, yesterday's pick 31, or next year's second rounder. The trade is incomplete in every single way possible. This is not an opinion but rather a fact.

Need some guy advice Please
So if your girl gets a haircut that’s absolutely terrible do you tell that person or do you shut your mouth and let them continue to get that haircut ? - gerbe75pts
Gerbs,
You’re dating her, not her haircut
Compliment it and deal with it
1) it’s not for u
2) it’ll grow back
Last thing u wanna do is hurt her feelings over a dumb haircut |

I always get a kick out of grading trades so stringently. If SJ beat STL, does the RoR trade look better and the Kane trade look worse?
The RoR trade lead to Montour and Skinner. Doesn't matter to me if the picks match up exactly. The assets + long term cap space do. - Lunaion
Had absolutely nothing to do with each other
And if you’re gonna say they do,
then u surely can’t talk about “long term Cap Space” when we moved out 7.5mil of ROR and then signed Skinner to 9mil per
If you’re gonna insist Skinner came as a result of moving ROR, then the Cap difference is a 1.5mil loss
That ppl still try to justify this trade is so dumb
It was a bad trade
Regardless of reasons or circumstances
We lost a really good player, and got crap back...

From Pronmans rankings at the athletic (#55)
"Huglen started the season in the USHL before heading to play high school at Roseau where he was a Mr. Hockey candidate in Minnesota. He finished the season strong back in the USHL with Fargo. He’s a high skill/high IQ forward and is one of the most purely skilled players that will get picked outside of the first round. Huglen has quick-twitch hands and can make defenders look foolish with his fakes and dekes. He makes plays around defenders at a quick pace and is dangerous on the attack. He was a regular on the highlight reel at the high school level. He’s a fantastic playmaker who flashed elite vision on some very creative passes throughout the season. He skates well. It’s not explosive speed, but Huglen has a clean stride, good edgework and gets above-average speed through the neutral zone. Off the puck, he’s just OK. He’s physically underdeveloped and can struggle to win puck battles but doesn’t shy away from the crease area. He didn’t play amazingly at the USHL or at the Hlinka Gretzky, raising some concerns if the talent will translate to higher levels, but the raw talent is significant." - seedy
Sounds like he’s got some decent potential
What was he wasting his time for playing HS hockey though?
Reminds me a bit of the Conor Hurley pick
Hopefully he will develop better with Minny |

Maybe a somewhat realistic offseason?
https://www.capfriendly.c.../armchair-gm/team/1248849
Edit: Vegas fan would take the Miller, Haula and Clarkson trade I made for Thompson, Nylander, Hickey and a lottery protected 1st - Mentalorgasm5
U don’t think you’re giving up a ton in that Vegas deal???
Taking Clarkson should get Haula (at least)
So... Tage, Nylander & a 1st for Miller?
Way too much imo |

Please make him ask why we didnt top that limp trade offer from NJD for Subban. - Mentalorgasm5
Perhaps because we had no 2nd rd pick to give this year + Nashville said N.J. was the only team that would pick up his whole salary |
