Zegras had more skill, but like you said Cozens has the differing skill set that will fit the team better. Whether he rides 1RW with Eichel and Skinner or is a 2A/2B with Mitts it works out well.

I hope this trade shows you just how crazy that sounds. It took a 1st to dump a 1 year 6m contract that will never play for you. The cost of dumping a 4 yr 6m deal, when you have to play the guy, would be obscene.

The Leafs gave up a first round pick. It was bad contract and they paid the price. I don't have a problem with it. If we went back to the days with no salary cap the Leafs would probably have a payroll of $150 million
