Once they get rid of Louis XVI and all the other bad deals through LTIR, they'll be fine.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your ass. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and, uh, Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

pay elite players a little more and bottom 6 players a little less

continue to feed your bottom 6 with draft picks and value UFAs

Or do what the Canucks are doing

- senstroll

Yup. I can't believe the Canucks have almost no cap left and haven't signed their young guys yet.

Spending on bottom 6 guys is death.

Firth of Fifth was a great song, despite the fact it wasn't a 2 minute pop song that was played 1,000,000,000,000 times on the radio.

My highlights:

The biggest disappointment will be: Zaitsev. Oh Lord, the contract is looking worse every day.

People think this guy is good, but he sucks (and the reason is): I'm going to go with Sparks here. Why? Because I had an emotional attachment to MakeASavey. And with Komarov gone, I need a new guy to have an irrational hate-on for...

If you remember nothing else I said, remember I said this about the 2018-19 Leafs: The best team (as of opening night) in my lifetime. The regular season is really just the pre-season. This year will be a failure if they don't make it to the third round.

Marleau, Patrick: I worry that Father Time will catch up with him. So I'm not going to make a prediction here - I'm just going to say a little prayer.

My lowlights:

The biggest surprise will be: the Leafs' goals against will be low - but the defence will not get credit.

Marner, Mitchell: 70 points. And will be my favourite player. Damn, this kid is creative.

Nylander, William: traded for a defenceman.

Andreas Johnsson: Leafs Nation wildly over-rated this guy. 30 points.

Kasperi Kapanen: Another wildly over-rated player. Good on PK, not much else.

Rielly, Morgan: Love him. 5 more points than last year.

Most disappointing team: Boston. This is the year Chara can't do it anymore.

- Atomic Wedgie

So, what is our general consensus on the opinion section of this:

The biggest surprise will be: Johnsson

The biggest disappointment will be: Nylander (or Marleau)

The unsung hero will be: Hyman? He scored 20 . . . (because Marner, Tavares, Matthews, Rielly, Andersen are all sung about aplenty)

The goat will be: Gardiner or Sparks?

That was huge.

I’ll be curious to see how this teams without some of babs favourites.

No more marleau, brown, hainsey and Zaitsev this year.

I don’t have a whipping boy at this moment because most of them have been moved.

- bryant

I think Babs favorite will be Kerfoot.

I could see Babs playing him in all situations because of his speed and being over the age of 25

I initially thought it would be Ceci but there is no way Dubas is keeping him if Babs decides to play him a lot.

I think Grads will still be a Leaf.

I think Dubas is going for it these next three years...Sign Marner to a 3 year deal to bring the cap down and sign Grads for 2.

I for one want Mitch to prove his worth anywways..I don't see him being worth 11 million at any point in his RFA years. Prove me wrong and sign a bridge.

There won't be a 3 year deal, is he gonna risk not getting paid if there's a lock out?

It's how people consumed music before the generation of the one minute attention span
- TheMussel

Or maybe we were too stoned to get up and change an album on the turntable. Besides not all albums are great. Many have done good or great songs with a lot of filler.

No kidding;

The Leafs will finish: 2nd in the division

The main reason for this is: offense, offense, more offense. Leafs score 300 goals this year

The biggest surprise will be: Josh Leivo, he scores 20 goals this year.

The biggest disappointment will be: Marincin, because he has always been disappointing.

The unsung hero will be: Freddy Andersen. Will get 40 wins

The goat will be: The Goat, will get sent down to the minors after 12 games.

People think this guy is good, but he sucks (and the reason is): Hainsey, too old and slow.

People think this guy sucks, but he's not so bad (and the reason is): Gardiner. Not a lot of defensemen in the league that can do what he does offensively,

The best move Shanny/Dubas did in the off-season was: Sign Tavares

If I was GM, I would have: traded for Jacob Trouba or Brett Pesce already.

If you remember nothing else I said, remember I said this about the 2018-19 Leafs: 2018-19 Stanley Cup Champs.. WooHoo.

That is in two seasons meaning a three deal pays him during a potential lockout.

I also believe the NHL can choose to opt out September 1st this year.
