Oh good, ask the RFA source who the Sabres are going to Offer Sheet.
It must be a big OS to take like 5 days to write up.

- IonSabres

Ek's source is Garf. I can understand the delay. It takes a long time travelling to Europe via Latvian Locomotive. Garf is somewhere in Jorts, Russia trying to find the veritable treasure trove of assets Buffalo received in the Evander Kane trade. Ek has stepped things up and hired former Sabres GM Tim Murray. GMTM always gets his man.

Travelling in this area of Russia is extremely dangerous. You never know when ex members of the Gulag are going to rain down a snipeshow. I hope Garf makes it back to Buffalo safely. Generational Jack Eichel and Samson Reinhart are very worried.

There's only so much murrency to go around in Pegulaville. They need to save that money for Super Swedish phenom Rasmus Dahlin.

Two Prima Donnas in the same room, PK and Hall, spells disaster. NJ Devils will severely underperform this season.

Rangers most likely will not. If they do it will be as the 8th seed. Most fans know this team is way better then last year but still super young. A lot of addition by subtraction (pionk, Shatty, Vesey)

Hank is done sadly and we are looking forward to 2021 as they finally have a nice prospect pool that we can hope will develop

Devils. Easy.

Rangers roster outside of a couple of players is trash.

- systemtool

Staal is probably the only bad player on the active roster. The rest are good with one elite player and a lot of unproven young guys.

How do you know they are good if they are unproven?

Schneider has had 3 poor seasons is a row. If he can somehow turn it around the Devils could be a force.

The devils have serious depth stacked with kids who are fast and have skill Wait until you see Boqvist and Ty Smith. These guys are very talented and flying under the radar a bit i think Blackwood could see 45 to 50 percent of the games by the end of the year. He’s a high draft pick who looked really good without a team in front of him last year. The excitement is Real in Jersey. We’ve got a ton of speed. I think the devils make the playoffs.

The unproven are not good or bad. See kakko, kratsov Shesty, Fox, Hajek, chytl etc

The elite is panarin. The good is Zib, kreids, Trouba, buch, and few others. Point is nobody aside from Staal is really trash

George Willy did you see that bust Goal Caufields snipe the other day? The kid is unreal!

Even Canada's goalie Gravel was blown away by his shot (he must just be a huge "Habs homer" too )

You better hop on the wagon bubs or you're going to look even more idiotic in a few years.

Calm down KomiSally. 😂 It's ok to be excited about Caufield. He's going to be a very good player. Your problem is that you keep proving yourself to be an idiot by pretending the Habs are the only team with good prospects. 😂

All I said was that it's ignorant to compare Caufield to Laine. How does this equate to me calling him a bust? I'm worried you're going to be so triggered that you'll stroke out. Breathe, Sally! Breathe! 😂

True. In part thanks to injuries. He had a pretty good second half of last season.

At 33 the elite days are gone but he can probably be a pretty good starter while sharing the net with Blackwood.

Who cares
Dumb exercise

Wow a source that knows everything about the RFas, maybe even more than the RFas themselves... oh those sources of yours... will you still Credit Eklund as the source when the information is wrong or guessed at as usual?

How long until you admit being a fraud?
Everyone knows already

Both had a great offseason but even as a devils fan the rangers definitely have the edge. Locked up Trouba who’s younger than Subban and will be in their long term future while Subban won’t, and got an elite player in Panarin. I think the devils have a shot, but if I had to pick who has the better chance it’s the rangers.

Rangers make it.....EASY! Devil goaltending questionable at best pk one dimensional on the downside Simmonds on the downside and Hughes will get pushed around he will be good but not next year!
- Bobd62

Love the Ranger fan mentality! Who even cares if the NYR do make the playoffs? They are impervious to success... 2 cups in 80 years?

In all honesty, love that both teams are on the rise at the same time. Great summer for both organizations, really going to be fun watching the Ranger fans watch Henrik lose for another year... whilst calling him “king”

Goalies age differently. He hasn't had the heavy workload over his career that many goalies have. If he has fully recovered from his injuries, then it's all mental. Confidence and focus are definitely two traits that can improve with age.

I wouldn't want to ride him for 70+ games and the playoffs, but I think 60+ is attainable while keeping him fresh enough for the playoffs. During his strong seasons he was a top 5 goalie, if he returns to form there's no reason he can't be the same.

Many goalies have had remarkable seasons past the age of 30-35. At this point, i'd think at least half of that is mental in Schneider's case and as you said he had a strong 2nd half. That 1 win in a calendar year ( or whatever it was ) had to be tough on a guy.

Personally, i'd place money on the Devils to make the playoffs.

Anyways for any of you guys that think they Devils might have a big year here's a decent bet idea.

Bet $100 on them making the playoffs, say the odds are +1200.

Take that $120 ( or even just what the net would be) and bet it on a combination of division champs, PK for Norris, Schneider for Vezina, winning a playoff round, playing EC final, playing SC, wining SC, Hughes for Calder, etc.

How pissed are you that Stevie Y decided to take a top 6 shutdown dman over this kid though? I would be livid

I'm very happy actually. Love that Seider kid. ☺ Nothing against Caufield but Detroit desperately needed to draft a defenseman in the first round. I am still pi$$Ed Holland drafted Zadina over Quinn Hughes. Or even Evan Bouchard or Noah Dobson would've been good. Holland drafted too many forwards with his first round picks for too many years.

Yzerman saw the organizational need for defense. He's cleaning up Holland's mess. It'll take time. You still have to keep the puck out of the net. I think Brendan Smith and Jakub Kindl being first round busts scared Holland from drafting defensemen in the first round. He did take Broberg this year for the Oilers though. Maybe he learned his lesson.

I guess they're banking on him to be a late bloomer in terms of production. Shutdown Dman are a dime a dozen, taking them at 6th or even in the top 10 for that matter is risky. He could've traded down and got more assets and still got the guy the wanted. Broberg and York will be more offensive Dman in my opinion.
