Will agree here for the most part. Start with getting rid of the Orca. Zero representation to the Canucks with that goofy symbol that most others laugh at. Get rid of it at centre ice too. Some semblance of tradition with this club would be nice. Burrows in the ring is fine and such as he arguably scored the biggest goal(s) in Canucks history...but all this talk of Lou's jersey being retired here is comical. Focus on a winning attitude for the kids and moving forward who gives a sh!t about Lou? lol - LordHumungous

"A Canucks spokesperson told Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Sun on Wednesday that their no are current plans for the franchise to honour Luongo."
This is an actual media outlet, stupidity abounds! |

Nah Edler fits the mood of #teamwhiner a bit more, as with Edler Captain they would get their next five 1st round top 10 picks which seems to so important to seeing the team fail for 5 more seasons lol |

You have a very low opinion of the team if you think Edler being the captain would ensure a poor result. I thought you boot lickers were all in on playoffs! |

Holy poop, Burrows is getting his name on the ring?
This franchise needs to win something of importance quickly because this celebration of mediocrity is an embarrassment.
I hate this ownership group for emphasizing how mediocre this team has been and still is today with all this false recognition. - bloatedmosquito
Could you only imagine if FA every year came into the closing presser and just said "this team (frank)en sucks, hasn't won poop"
I have to wonder about your intelligence if you truly believe that promoting hate for your team would be good for business. |

Just retire every jersey for guys who try hard. Dorsett? Hell yeah! Higgins? Oh baby! Might as well retire Benning and Gillis' jerseys too. |

Lots of failure to go around the league.
No cup each or every year has big company. |

Nah...just want the team to improve. Unlike you #teamwhiners who wish for losing for another ten years. Hence ordering your Edler Jersey with the C lol |

I read another Canucksarmy article written by someone who did some fancy shmancy work and came up with the Canucks getting 97 points this season. I have them pegged at 96 points. Clearly without doing all the extra work that guy did that took hours. I just looked at a few 5 minutes videos and bam came up with the same answer pretty much, |

they are hall of fame players i dont think anyone is questioning that they are likely the two greatest canucks of all time, won league awards and are deserving of the honour of a jersey retirement.
its the other things that are silly/excessive like many of the ring of honor recipients. the bar for that is very low that you will run out of room quickly. ie - if mclean is up there then luongo deserves it. if ohlund is there then edler has to be |

FA could again skip the silly/excessive players going into the ring of honour and the arena could be completely empty and when fans new fans/old fans/other teams fans come they can see what a sad sack of poop this team has been over the years.
They will probably come back again and again knowing how poopty the team has been.
It's a business, you are selling a history to people, to get them in the seats. |
