No different than getting tons of picks & they get the opportunity to play in the AHL. Finite spots so quality over quantity is the goal. Picking Euros & they play in top Euro leagues & USHL/USNDP is a wise way to draft & so far we’ve done a lot of that. They need the competition & not buried away cuz of too many prospects to develop.

I don’t really care much but team performance, just prospect development, winning is a nice bonus for sure though. Cull needs to find that right balance between putting prospects in positions to succeed and also making them earn opportunities. Plus his communication skills may need some work if we’re going to believe what Palmu said.

I’d love to get to where Tampa is with their farm, they’re a perennial playoff squad that’s filled with mostly 25 and under players. That would be a fun team to follow if the Comets can build that.

As the season went on last year, Lind and Gads moved up the line up and got more ice time. I don't really believe what Palmu says and I also don't believe in epic hand holding of 20 something year olds.

Tampa has a good system. There scouting staff has done a good job over a long period of time. Remember Van drafting for a while was about not finding NHL worthy players.

Cheering louder doesn't make you a better fan, just like criticizing players or managers doesn't make you a worse fan. Canucks have been my team since I was a little kid. I've owned a dozen jersey's, hats, flags, playoff towels, stuffed animals, bead spreads. I've been to SCF games, and regular season snoozers. I've forgotten the names of more players than most. Just because I don't like the way they are doing some things now doesn't mean I don't want them to win.

I like competition but the quality has to be there. All farm systems have almost equal talent. It's the teams with quality that are ranked higher.

Prospects cut their teeth in the pros. They have unfounded opinions imo. If immature or cannot listen & do what it takes to develop into a bonafide pro they join the big heap of many others. There is NO entitlement only results. Hard work has only just begun it’s not Jr’s any more.

I respect all of that. Fanatic has various levels to it no doubt. I simply meant turning on a team can have merit but has to be tempered with reality. We all want to win every game & cups but also have to be honest. It’s not an easy league & very demanding to say the least.

The thing I dislike about the Benning regime is that from the moment he and Linden took over they have said one thing and done another.

You can't argue with the final results, the team is certainly better today than the one Tortarella left in a shambles.

It's still the only jersey that hangs in my closet. I can't bare to get another since a week after I got it, he was traded for Kassian. I'd prefer to not to waste my money on an LE Jersey if you are wondering.
