It was the same terrible thought process as Gillis drafting over agers.

It must be Smyl he's been there the whole time.

Sad story but Brandon is a good town for his family to grow up in.

He also indicated some current scouts would be moving into new roles while leaving the door open for the possibility new scouts might be hired.

Asked for an update this week on that process, a Canucks’ spokesperson wrote in an email: “We are in the process of finalizing some updates to the hockey operations area and will announce those in the near future.”

I just feel as if they would be further away or in the same place or in a different place but with the same results.... you know what I mean?
- manvanfan

Totally agree. They would have sucked about the same, maybe a tiny bit worse. Would be in the same place they are now, but would potentially have another 3 or 4 quality AHL players pushing for a roster spot. And, maybe they wouldn’t have signed Lui...

CODY HODGSON TO THE RING OF HONOUR AND A BANNER OUTSIDE FOR "TRYING HARD"

He could probably make the Sabres ring of honor.

Would have liked those few extra 1st/2nd/3rd rounders instead of filling the age gap through trade...

A calculated risk when we had an old team full of NTC’s it was a small set back. The Q is how do you like the direction we are heading now?

The thing I dislike about the Benning regime is that from the moment he and Linden took over they have said one thing and done another.

You can't argue with the final results, the team is certainly better today than the one Tortarella left in a shambles.

I don't listen. I observe. It's way less painful that way.

I don’t even know if MG gave a rats ass about drafting. It appeared he didn’t. He inherited a very good team just like the probable new GM might inherit if JB is canned. It’s as ASL said one GM lays the ground work & his successor looks good later.

As a big picture I like how things look. I’m disappointed they traded a 1st, and i’m not too stoked about Myers. A bit risky. I’m concerned the organization doesn’t have the right people in place to navigate their salary cap challenges in the future, but that could be addressed any time, so things could be very different by the end of the year.

I don’t think they are good enough to make the playoffs yet, another year or two, but on the right track.

Yup signing Loui was the result of poor assessment of the teams real position at the time. I admit i liked it to a degree back then til smacked in the noggin on how it has worked out. Training camp it’s come in like there is no tomorrow being hungry with a chip on his shoulder or a bus ticket to Utica. No more effin around with him.

Well said & a very good assessment bro 👍

I’m more excited of course that the D had no where to go but to get much better. I’m a bit concerned how well they play in the Dzone. If the offence i expect them to produce out plays that then i’m cool.

I have a question: If LE get's a season ending injury in Utica will he be on the Canuck's LTIR?

My Uncle from Burnaby flew in yesterday and came up to spend the night and see his niece for the first time. He wasn't in good shape this morning. Neither was I. No Beverages for me tonight.

So who got banned? Lot's of posts gone and alts already showing up.

I took a few minutes to catch up to a couple of 20 something year olds who were trolling me with their steering wheel in their fancy lowered poop box. As usual, the old dude(48) with a grey beard scared the poop out of them and when I got out of my car and the begging started. I didnt even reach for the skinning axe this time... their mind jumps from old passive guy to Oh poop, he's a Hells Angel or something(I'm not) in 2 seconds.

They deliberately tried to cause an accident with me 3 times because I threw my hands up in the air as they sat through a green light vaping.. Stupid. In a small town like this, you think you can hide with your lowered lime green car? hahahah... one trip around the block and I found them.
