When he goes straight to the net his style reminds me of MacKinnon . He does have skill too. His finish needs some polish.
A bit surprised at the ELC for Silvos yesterday, I wonder what Canucks have in mind? I start thinking Mike DiPi trade? - VANTEL
They drafted a interesting GT from Latvia as well.
Even if they passed on some skill for Podz... I absolutely love the way he plays the game.

Surprisingly one of the positions we have depth at. DCT touched on Markstrom. If there was any way to get another first you'd think it would include a goaltender/+ - VanHockeyGuy
When Boeser and Goldobin get signed that will bring it to 48 contracts . I am not sure on the timing but what happens to Lockwood? Not a lot of wiggle room to acquire NCAA prospects . I am thinking Lockwood and Madden are close to a contract? |

Yup, something needs to give at some point. Should be interesting. |

Silvos is that Latvian goalie. They signed him to a ELC yesterday. |

Neil Youngs Live at Massey Hall 1971 is an absolute staple of an album. Raw and invigorating. The guy was a folk guitar genius above Bob Dylan IMO. - LordHumungous
That’s a tough call but I’ll go with the Canadian too. I had a Crosby Stills & Nash 8 track in the 70’s that got me into him. |

One would hope this would happen in VAN this season as well. Byfuglien would be a contributing factor here.
Jeff Marek on FAN590 says the leadership group in Winnipeg rides that team really hard & drives that team really hard, and if you don’t keep up, that leadership group doesn’t have a lot of time for you. There is a feeling around the NHL that Patrik Laine has fallen out of favour. - VanHockeyGuy
Buff comes off as a bit of a jerk to me. |

On JB’s last interview on 650 sounded like that could be a possible option. He said he never had traded a 1st before but thought JT was worth it & would try to recover it. |

A lot of possibilities? Maybe Utica bound? If it slides I still think it is considered one of the 50 contracts. |

Some here wanted the skill but JB et al must think overall Podz has what we need in the big picture once vets retire or move out. I see him as top 6 potential for sure who can break in on the 4th or 3rd line soon as he comes over. His skill set is not hurt doing so like some F’s who need top 6 or don’t fit in as seamless. |

GM's are at loathe to part with 1st rounders, it will be a good exercise for JB.

By the looks of videos over the last few months, I'd say his passing has been understated.

Back in the late 70’s early 80’’s suffering the disco era my buds & I trucked around watching cabaret bands. Kick Axe Streetheart Powder Blues Doug & the Slugs etc. Guy Jones much later who did Alice Cooper was quite good at the North Burnaby Inn. Gary Taylors rock room also but always was hammered so no memory of who 😜. In my mid 30’s saw Tim Brecht who was the best 1 man act i’ve seen. He’s still going i believe. |

I feared the Russian factor and my guys Broberg and Seider were gone so it took me 10 minutes to let it sink in.

Say we are in the hunt for a PO spot near the TDL & as JB said he hopes the 1st we traded is a 15-31oa. Could we make a trade with a PO team or bubble team anyways? Being a seller like St Louis was proved it was a great gambit on Armstrong’s part. |

Absolutely, that would be great if he could pull something like that off. |
