GM's are at loathe to part with 1st rounders, it will be a good exercise for JB. - VanHockeyGuy
Truthfully I am okay with not having a first next year or the year after. I think the roster is set now for 2-3 years and that is without even getting OJ PodK or Hogs into the line up.

Pod, fuk I hated that pick at the time, now I love it - VanHockeyGuy
The kid is a beast of a truck with a motor we will luv is my take. Young so skating can only get better & work on his east/west & playmaking which i see as easier than what he can already do at his age. |

By the looks of videos over the last few months, I'd say his passing has been understated. - boonerbuck
I agree but NHL game speed requires IQ & it’s a wait & see. His style though should adapt well & he can wreak havoc. |

I feared the Russian factor and my guys Broberg and Seider were gone so it took me 10 minutes to let it sink in. - VANTEL
Those 2 picks also is why Podz fell to us 👍 |

Broberg looking 2nd best D in the draft to me.
Only once did JB take the player I was hoping for at the moment they stepped up to the podium and that was Quinn Hughes. The disappointment doesnt last long because I'm not in this frame of mind that I know better or get upset about not getting what I want. Typically, they are right more or less and I'm wrong so.... |

I see nothing wrong with his skating . This morning he blew by the compition like they were standing still.
Like Booner says too his passing is under rated. People hear things about someone and think it is fact.
This guy has good enough skating , he wins many races. |

This. Idk why but i’ve supported JB through it all & now he has me more convinced he’s more sly & shrewd than i gave him credit for. As each draft passes & him signing better UFA’s it has me liking our prospect pool & how diverse we are becoming. Drafting BPA i’m totally on board with now. |

I do remember you and a few others saying you wouldn't take those two at 10

His forward skating is very good in my opinion. He forces the D back with that aggressive speed. I imagine the criticism has been his lateral and edge work.

Language barrier is his big mission to get over the hump on imo. It’ll take some time but his make-up tells he’s oblivious to it & the NHL is for him & has no choice in it. |

Not knocking his skating but i see his power & can only imagine the speed getting better. Watch out world if he gains another gear.

I seen an amazing goal from Broberg two days ago ( end to end). I have also seen so bad cough ups. He is 17 and very good size speed and power.I think by the time he is 23 and has figured things out he is going to be a very good pick.
I would have taken him 10 of 10 over Zegras , just my opinion.

Only cuz I was on the Boldy train that also fit our need more imo. Boldy did fall to us as I predicted. I wanted a trade down in JB’s back pocket if their player or BPA wasn’t there. It became moot since JB said the ask was too high to move up where those 2 were picked ‘ both were a reach imo to pick where they were. |

I’d add his strength/power also get D on their heals. Over commit & it’s bad news. |

Best middle weight scrapper we ever had was Curt Fraser. He was more than that also so imagine if we had him to deal with Marchand? |
