Heard a report that there is a clause in his contract the makes his guaranteed money ($30Million) dependent on no disciplinary action.

Based on all of the media and reporters, Brown didn't even have a chance to have a say. Brown's agent discussed term with Buffalo and Buffalo was not willing to accept them. This matches several reports from Beane, agent and several reporters.
