Yeah. The excuse of "you can't pay a guy that to not be your clear cut RB1" doesn't work. We have the space. If we could've filled it out somehow, then fine, but lessening Terry's out of pocket isn't a good reason to cut a good football player.
Savings next year makes it a good move. Good post. - RhinoFan
Except McCoy isn't a good football player anymore, otherwise, they wouldn't have added so many in the offseason. Like most running backs, he hit the wall, hard. |

losing incognito, wood, glenn, tyrod, watkins, etc on offense and adding pieces like kelvin benjamin and vlad ducasse didnt help him at all last year. I completely give him the benefit of the doubt. Problem was he just wasnt worth the cap space they can save next year for him |

I expect the #Raiders to cut the cord with Antonio Brown. They can't release him because of the contract so expect suspension for contract detrimental first #NFL100 |

"I don't even think I can imagine Buffalo in the playoffs," Dahlin said.
"When we won those 10 straight games last year, people went crazy. They're screaming in the building, 'We want 10. We want 10.' It was something new for me."

This is insane.
He might be a legit paranoid schizophrenic, he has serious psychological issues.
The CTE is strong with this one. |

At this point I don't think even the Pats would deal with that headache right now
But if they did at least for a few weeks could you imagine starting Brown, Gordon, and Edelman in the slot??? |

He's never been the same since that Burfict hit who subsequently was the player holding Brown back from going after the GM |

I said they should gave traded him 2 years ago at the TDL.
I don't like the guy, but he is a helluva running back.
I'll wait to see how he does in KC before declaring his career over.
1 thing I do know is I could kick his ass too. |

Read an article on The Athletic about Dan Maloney and Gerg Terrion about their lives falling apart after hockey...both tough sons of female doges and both likely suffered from CTE.
Football, and to a lesser degree but still an issue with Hockey...the concussion issue needs to be addressed in a bad way, fast. It is crazy that these guys suffer the way they do, I don't care how much money they make.
Glad to see the fighting going down significantly in the NHL.
Football...those guys just want to literally kill each other.
Dumb, dumb, dumb. |

I have argued and I still believe that with the new pads out there they cause more harm than good
Back in the day shoulder pads were just a slight cushion for the body checker and the player getting checked
Nowadays they have all this carbon composite D3O ultra foam in them.
Basically the checker doesn't feel a thing so they go faster and try to hit harder. I guarantee if they felt anything when delivering those checks they wouldn't be going so hard at each other.
Put modern players in equipment from the 80's and with modern medical practices and the concussions would go down a ton.
It would slow the game down a ton though |

Ya.
I'm not that interested honestly.
While I like the game of football quite a bit, quite a few of the players are jerks to put it mildly.
I couldn't care less about them or the process anymore.
I still watch on Thursday and Sunday, but the minority of players that are complete A-holes has caused me to be I different to most players.
That said, there are some good guys I do cheer for...and as much as I hated the Allen pick...I really like what I have seen from him...seems like a great "kid" ... I'm really pulling hard for him to become successful. |

Yes, agreed. They now use the protective equipment as a weapon to deliver bone crushing (and mind numbing) hits. There may not be an intention to deliberately injure, but certainly to hurt their opponent to gain an advantage.
I do love a tough physical game myself...so maybe fans like me are part of the problem. |

In KC with that passing offense, he could do ok, but he's certainly no bell-cow RB anymore. |
