Lucas old pal I think you have Grubauer way too low on this list.
Colorado is gonna have a good season and Grubauer is their guy. |

You call Saros the #1 backup but you list Griess in your top 30! What gives? |

I think Elvis might surprise in Columbus. I let him go last year in my Dynasty league, and I might end up regretting it. |

I do like Grubauer - just not sure about the overall depth of Colorado.
as for Hutton/Varlamov yeah I didn't explain well...I think they are a decent 1A 1B - I think Varly takes over as #1.
what I meant is that Saros is the best TRUE backup heading into season and should be looked at for KEEPER pools going forward.
sorry should have explained myself better. |

Or do you somehow expect the Ducks to be good this year? |

16th best fantasy goalie...yeah around there
unless ducks magically go from gutter to glory I cant see how Gibson is going to get a large amount of wings, shutouts or have great stats other than # of saves and save %.
you have to put up numbers in all the goalie categories to be ranked top 10.
who do you think is worth less? a playoff teams goalie? or do you see the ducks in top 16 in the NHL?
to sum this up, the Ducks scored the least amount of goals in the NHL last season so I'm not thinking my assessment is far off, if anything I'm giving Gibson some credit here for a 16th rank. |

I expect him to not only miss some time due to injury but not get a normal starters # of games as Bernier will act kind of like a 1B (my guess)
I think the Wings will struggle this year and it's actually in their best interest to have a bad season and get another high end draft pick added to the team. |

I get they suck and that will impact Howard’s numbers for sure but he got 55 games last season with bernier in the fold. |

yeah he should get around 50ish games - I got him just outside top 30 and you could certainly argue a case for him with anyone at the bottom of this list as none of them are exactly gems by any means.
id look at scooping up Howard as a great 3rd goalie in head to head if my first 2 goalies weren't top tier |

I know you already have Rask in here, but how about Halak as 25-30 on this list? He had quite a few games and still had decent wins, avg, shut outs and save %. |

Please do explain how a team that failed the make the playoffs and made no significant moves this off season is better than last season?
Defensively they have downgraded
Offensively, Getzlaf is 34 now, Kesler isnt going to play. Aside from Rakell and the potential breakout of Kase IF not traded, the ducks do not have much that is going to out produce Arizona, Calgary, San Jose, Vancouver and Vegas.
Even LA has more Firepower IMO |

If the Ducks are losing lots, i'm pretty sure Gibson will be at the bar more........eating lots of wings. |
