Someone brought this up earlier and I think it should be expanded on... how about Mittlechunk and Tage both starting in Rochester, on the same line until at least February. Let those two build chemistry.
I rather see them both start and be successful in Rochester than struggle up here. And I would suffer with Jack, Johansson, ERod, pick one, down the middle to let those two kids develop a bit...
I think it was that brilliant Ion guy, lol!
Seriously, it was me who suggested it yesterday.
It would need to be handled properly so as not to demoralize PhatAss....but, I would love to see them build some chemistry together. |

this is gonna be another bad team. Sobotka should not be in the nhl. They should've bought him out. He should be on the bench with Gus at C and Sheary on the 4th line |

I think it’s a great idea. Even if it’s for a month. Go get some confidence. Score some goals, hit the weights and not the donuts.... send him with Tage. Make those two room together, lockers next to each other, shower together, borrow Sam and Jacks bike....
Look what the lockout year in Rochester did for Le Core.... Tv, Roysie, Pommer (I think), Miller, all built that chemistry in Rochester during the lockout .... send fatty and shoots wide down to dominate... it’s not like we don’t have scrubs to fill in... and I doubt they send Larry, Gus, Okpo, Sobotka anywhere... and Olofsson better be in the top 6! In buffalo!
Hommie has said, you play your best 18. Well, can you say Mitts and TT have been two of the best 12 to this point? You might be able to argue TT has looked a bit better, stronger... but I haven’t watched enough to know that... send the two down... keep olo |

Dahlin/Risto are a disastrous pair in our own end. I like them both, but they shouldn’t be paired.
If Okposo is healthy and has shown in camp he can hang with that line, then fine.
Thompson needs top 6 or a Vesey-fat-TT 3rd line. If not, go to Rochester.
Sobotka- well, uh. Good on the dot, I guess? I’d rather have a team of kids who fly and cause havoc than him in the line up on a nightly basis. |

I'll be at the game tonight. The competition will be inferior, but hopefully we can take some individual performances. |

The only thing he has shown so far is his contract makes him immune to mediocre performances. Now he's back in the top-6. Failing upward! Well done!
As for Sobotka, 51% on the dot last year. Good for him |

Sobotka can be a 13th forward.
He may still be cut as well.
This team is good on paper, best in 10 years |

He’s a body on his last year. He should be in the presser more than on the ice but he’s here whether we like it or not. He might get waived but that’s to be seen. |

You hearing anything about any more roster surgery? Or is botts still running a pretty tight ship? Anything from our other insider friends? Or have the masses finally run them all off? |

All the things that shouldn’t be, are.
I am mad at myself for being optimistic of change.
Trade for Colin Miller and Jokiharju to play them on the third pair or Rochester.
Trade for Vesey to just put him in the spot Pominville was
It’s like nothing has changed.

looks like leaning on vets
and despite what the mass wants, botts is not making calls to shop risto, same as at deadline, draft, and start of UFA
seems the feeling higher up is housley was more the problem then the players, as I mentioned in the spring
could be a long year guys and gals |

when we are in 14th place in the east, we can look forward to moving bogo, scandella and sobotka for 2 6th rd picks and a 7th
so there is that |

I want to rant, but whatever. Maybe Mojo can be a capable 2C if he's with Skinner, and Olo could be a ROY candidate. They made the most boring, safe choices possible, which is what I said they'd do in August, but then I got caught up in the preseason "competition," which I always do, and which is always meaningless, and here we are. Pass the tylenol |

If they poop the bed this season, they may lose a fair amount of their fans.
I'm excited for hockey to be back and am looking forward to watching the Sabres.
I get the sense that by mid/late November I may find myself tuning out early.
That is no way for a sports team to treat their fans, and I feel bad for the season ticket holders having to put their money up again to watch substandard play. Only good news is hopefully, this is the last season of having so many scrubs in the lineup given that there should be another 3 or 4 guys ready to graduate, as well as CAP space to add another 1 or 2 solid players.
If they ain't trading Risto, then Ralph and staff better be all over him helping him to realize there is no more room for boneheaded play after boneheaded play...in other words, MF that guy to wake up and play the system properly. |
