The success or failure of this team hinges on a few players up front: He Who Is Morbidly Obese, Oloffson, and Tage Thompson. If those guys don't put up meaningful numbers, it won't matter how much or little of Lockport we see on the bottom six.

I wonder if Tage even makes the team?
In no particular order:
Jack, Sam, Skinner
Johansson, Vesey, Mitts
Sheary, E Rod, *Olofsson
Larsson, Girgs, Okposo
Sobotka as the extra

The hell with sobotka, but it makes more sense for Tage to play top line minutes in the AHL then to be the extra (or even 12th) guy here

And i think Olofsson has played good enough that he should get the first look from all the kids

Okposo and 2nd line should never be used in the same sentence outside of “okposo should not be on the 2nd line or anywhere near it.”

It really hasn't worked that well in the past, but apparently they're ready to give it another go.

I do remember Bogosian and dahlin playing very well as a pairing--him, Montour and McCabe back in the lineup means Scandella moves to No. 7 which would make everyone here pretty happy

It would be so Sabres to trade for Jokiharju and Miller, two guys almost certainly better than McCabe and Ristolainen, just to play them on their off-hand, on the third pair or in Rochester.

Someone brought this up earlier and I think it should be expanded on... how about Mittlechunk and Tage both starting in Rochester, on the same line until at least February. Let those two build chemistry.

I rather see them both start and be successful in Rochester than struggle up here. And I would suffer with Jack, Johansson, ERod, pick one, down the middle to let those two kids develop a bit...
