He's brought in Skinner, Johansson, Sheary, Vesey, with draft picks Mittelstadt and Olofsson. With Eichel and Reinhart, you have two top 3 forwards, so it's fair that he went to work picking up extra top 9 forwards. He did a ton of work on D while also adding Dahlin through the draft. Next year you have 4 Fs under contract and 4 RFAs on the team. Botts has a chance to further upgrade at forward and D at the end of this season. Without the burden of "desperately needing depth" as this team, before last year really, had nothing.

I love craft beer, but by no means am I an expert. The wife and I rented a cabin in Asheville, and eventually hit the "Wicked Weed" brewery in downtown. Was an awesome atmosphere and we enjoyed the food/drinks. Hope that helps.

I keep saying this type of thing to my one friend. Do I love how things have worked out so far? No. Does the return on the O'Reilly trade make me happy? Hell no. But it's not like he's done NOTHING. Especially when he had very little to work with from a depth perspective to begin with.

The problem right now though is he has 3-4 black holes on this roster he seems to refuse to cut bait with.

I just really hope he has the stones to do the right things in less than a week

This I will definitely agree with as well.

But I feel like every GM has their guys they just seem to refuse to acknowledge don't belong on the team anymore.

They addressed that a winning culture needed to be brought in from the bottom up as well. Rochester has been MUCH better than it was under Murray. So they've taken that step. Just need to get it to translate to the NHL team now.

I know that Botts isn't the only one responsible for Rochester's turn around but he definitely has a role in it to some degree.

This, and the fact he now has a bevy of players at certain positions such as LW and RhD.

This season is going to be tough to get through. There certainly is a number of players remaining on the roster fans are done with, yet perhaps letting the kids season more in the A or Jrs is likely the best long-term decision...however it makes the short-term difficult for the fans.

Hopefully Ralphie-boy can find enough lipstick to put on several pigs that they generate some type of value at the TDL.
