i'm enjoying it while it lasts...what's particularly fun is that they'll have $33-34M in cap space next year and some youngins ready to step into roles

That was about as perfect of a night of Sabres hockey that I've ever seen in 50 years. Super-cool new uniforms, and a GREAT opening ceremony followed by them utterly destroying the other team - physically and on the scoreboard. Nobody got hurt (I think ?), and the fans all went home really happy. Perfect night ! And today I woke up still feeling great ! Last nights game is one where we'll be talking about it for many, many years - kind of one of those "where were you on opening night of the 2019/2020 season" kind of games. 10 years from now, someone here will bring it up and we'll see the usual "I was there !" posts - it was THAT kind of game last night. Oh, and FYI, very fun read at HFBoards in the Devils game day thread. Check it out if you still want to feel the warm and fuzzy buzz from last nights game.

That being said, please Buffalo Bills - don't ruin the weekend.

Keep him with Jack and keep him on the PP, then I'd say at least 25. Doesn't matter if teams key on VO - it just won't matter with that kind of shot.

Jake McCabe - I think he's finally turning into an awesome defenseman. Also, was he wincing in pain after trucking Hall ? Looked like he hurt himself with that hit. Or was he just snickering when he got up ?

Lastly, not sure if it was McCabe that did it, but I missed the hit on Hughes ... I've heard that someone crushed him - which one of our guys did it and is there video of the hit ?

Lastly, not sure if it was McCabe that did it, but I missed the hit on Hughes ... I've heard that someone crushed him - which one of our guys did it and is there video of the hit ?

I like to pop in here and criticize people who criticize others but when I get criticized I am a victim and when things escalate and I get even more critical it is just self defense. Just so we are all on the same page.

McCabe's doing some fun stuff on the ice. He's still 'losing' on the ice though. Has the worst RelCF%, and the only defender under a 50% CF.

I felt pretty neutral to the idea, even knowing he captained his WJ team with Phil the Thrill. Early returns are solid. He's playing balls out. Which has been a lot of fun to watch from him.

The problem with McCabe has been him staying healthy. He always seems to have moments where he looks good then gets hurt and everything derails
