I see Nashville's top two scorers are Josi and Ellis, two defencemen, this is what's wrong with this team, and it's been the case since their beginning, they're a good team but they just lack highend talent. The kind that wins you Stanley Cups.
A lot of good players, but no great players. |

Thanks Carol, I think you meant Sunday’s loss to NJ as the Nashville game is tonight!
Hopefully Rinne starts, he’s terrible vs the Canucks.
9-0 Canucks, Sutter wins one lucky fan $1,000,000! |

A lot of Canuck fans that were willing to give up quite a lot for RyJo. Duchy is no slouch either. Both would be top 6 contributors in Vancouver |

Certainly would, difference is we have highend talent with Pettersson, I think lol. Having Duchene would bump Horvat down to his rightful spot centering the third line #depth |

I've always though Johansen was overrated, people acted like he was a 1LC, but I think he's more of a 2LC on a good team. Typical #BCBoyz bias which I always find funny, because as soon the BCBoyz join the team, people quickly get over it(Hamhuis, Garrison, Mitchell, Virtanen, Stecher etc.)
Duchene is better than RyJo. |

I can't remember what game kaptaan said was the season defining one, but I do think these next 6 games will be a pretty strong indicator as to how competitive the Canucks will be |

I agree that they could use a game breaker up front, easier said than done. Doesn't even have to be a center. Blues most dangerous forward is Tarasenko and they won a cup.
They probably get that type of player had they held onto Jones for longer. Jones >> RyJo |

The third one we lost in the current losing streak. Good teams don't lose 3 straight... And bounce back after a bad game to a bad team like Chicago. |

The Blues just won a cup after losing 3 in a row multiple times during the season.
Edit: Just checked and they had 3 different three game losing streaks
They never lost a 4th straight game though so tonight is a must win! |

I think Forsberg is pretty close to it but he's inconsistent as to when he's a game-changer. IMO goaltending lost them the cup a few years back and it'll continue to hurt them when it counts. They are too loyal to Rinne but Markstrom would be amazing behind that defense |

Ryan O'Reilly is pretty damn good, as a center I'd say he's their best player.

So he's a clear cut above guys like Duchene and Forsberg? He's never even hit 80 points in his career and last year was the first time he even hit 70. |

Usually at the 25 game mark you find out what kind of club you really have.
Leivo on the 1st line and Miller bumped down isn't going to help us. |

Pretty sure the Canucks are 0-3-1 in the last 4, so that’s already 4 losses in a row. And that’s not a perception STAT, it’s just what it is. |

Thanks Carol,
Rick D joining the Athletic is good news, nice to have another voice perspective there. I was never a huge fan of Rick's radio shtick but his writing and insider info is top notch. Incredible what Mirtle and co. Have built in such a short time.
You guys are dreaming if you think Ryjo or Duchene would be moved. Turris is the one the preds will be forced to move. |
