They wanted to force rivalries, which I guess makes sense when all things are equal, but when 5 teams in the Metro are ahead of the 2nd place team in the Atlantic, it looks stupid. - BINGO!
I guess. Seems like most of the good rivalries are in the Metro anyway |

Yeah, this is one of the more perplexing events of the season. The guy brings very little to the table and never gets more than a handful of shifts. What's the point???
The handling of Anderson is most perplexing followed by VK heading back to the KHL. I though Quinn was suppose to be a good coach for young players?? |

so you don't see any progress for any young players currently on the Rangers? |

I'll say the same thing about DQ and I did when I defended AV, you can't pick and choose who the young players are who do/don't develop as proof to either side. I could easily point out that Lemeuix, ADA, Fox, etc are all flourishing under him and that is proof that he is a good coach for youth. The answer is probably somewhere in between. |

Its ok that you missed my point. If Quinn is a good coach for young players, than why have Anderson and VK, who are touted as our future, not playing here in NY and players with limited or no upside still here, Haley, Mckegg, ETC. |

we are the youngest team in the league, that's confirmed
and we are 14-10-3 with more points then Tampa and Toronto
Quinn is doing a good job |

Its not an all or nothing. Not every kid is going to start right out of the gate. It doesn't matter who the coach is. I have issues with some of Quinns decisions but to make a blanket statement, he isn,t good for young players, seems odd. |

Still have no idea why they changed that. 1-8 is so easy - mdw7413
Forced parody
Current playoff system creates the best chance for teams from all different areas a betther chance to make playoffs. With the 1-8 system, which is much fairer based on performance, a whole division could be left out. |

if Kravstov had accepted the demotion and played his balls off like Chytil did, he could be back here already
Andersson, I think people really better start coming to grips with the fact that he's just not that good |

Completely agree about VK.
While the evidence to support your opinion of Lias is mounting, I choose to hold out hope that he can figure some poop out and show more of the player we've seen flashes of (prior to his middling to poor showings this regular season). |

the Wolfpack have games tonight, tomorrow and sunday
would be ideal for Lias to have a good weekend and show a pulse |

Because a) not every draft pick pans out, even high ones, and b) not every player develops on the same curve. Just shoving young players in the lineup because they're young and the team is rebuilding isn't necessarily going to work for all of them. |

Adam Fox was born in 1998, having terrific rookie season
Lias Andersson was born in 1998, meandering in the AHL
this all means David Quinn is bad with youth |

Kravtsov's KHL team has his at the 13th forward according to Twitter. He seems to have some growing pains going on. This may justify allowing him to leave for the short term. Need some more seasoning and a little growth. Let's see what happens when the KHL season ends. |
