Friedman believes that Tanev and Leivo would have value. I'd trade both with their values high.
Buyout Sutter and Baertschi. Combined savings of 2.1 and 1.6
Would be nice to have cap space next season. - manvanfan
It's equally important to rid the team of injury prone players.

No. You get AHL dump and chase and you'll like it.

Making 2 hits per game more should fix that.

Trade Stetcher, and when Edler is back keep Fatburger on the bottom pairing with Benn. - Retinalz
If we’re being objective, Benn has been worse than Stecher lately. And if playoffs is the goal why trade any of them? Edler or Tanev have a decent chance of getting injured again |

|

Yeah, no more ufsa until they improve their pro scouts. - A_SteamingLombardi
Even then. I think our prospect pool should be our main supplier going forward. |

I think Stetcher should be the odd man out when Edler comes back. I also think he has value right now, but he will steadily lose that value if he sits. |

A number 5,6 or 7 needs to sit When Edler returns. Fantenberg and Stetcher both playing better than Benn.

Ottawa is in need of any D man that isn't ECHL quality. Plus they have cap space. |

Yah and realistically maybe a 3rd for stetcher at best? I guess it will be close to a late second. |

Sven should have been taking alpha MMA lessons instead of beta meditation and maybe he’d be on the team |

Yeah but if Benning wants to make the playoffs and the Canucks are still in the mix then I don’t see him selling a dman

He is also willing to do the right thing and send a Dman that should be playing to a team that will play him. |

Based on injuries, Ferland is the softest Canuck right now. He cant even throw a hit without his eggs being scrambled. Next is Demko who is on the IR with shaken baby syndrome again. Edler can't stand up to the NHL's physicality and Sutter has missed 57% of his games since being brought in. Beagle should go to the vet to get fixed or put down. He's out all he time. Another grit guy who cant handle a physical game anymore.
This team needs to just play their best players in the system. Stop thinking dump and chase players makes us harder to play against. Call up players who can pass and shoot the (frank)ing puck. I've been dumped and chased to death.

Agree. However when goal production is needed get them up here. The toughness issue is going to be ongoing with this club until other changes are made. |

Being honest. Demko's second concussion already is a concern. Hopefully the last one for a long times.

I agree. We are a soft injury prone team. That wont change by calling up a 4rth line player who will maybe throw a hit or two in his limited ice time. Just the fact alone that Leivo shouldnt even be in the top 6 is a head scratcher. Then the plan is to dig way down in the depth for more dump and chasers.
Imagine how bad the Canucks would look without Hughes passing and carrying the puck for them 25 minutes a game. Green would have been so exposed I sincerely believe he would have been fired and the playoffs long out of reach by now.
