Unless they are tight against the cap I don’t believe they get the full pop of 3.5 million. For instance, if they’re 2 million under the cap they only get 1.5 million in relief space. But I’m no capologist!!

I am all for bringing in a better guy but there needs to be a plan and who is that guy? I can definitely see a coaching change but I don't see them jumping at a new GM unless this year is a total fail.

He took over the wings as GM in July of 97, they’d just won the Cup, that’s not a GM who had to build anything. He made some good moves but he just road the coat tails of Devellano and Bowman his first few years as a GM.

I am in no hurry to move Benning out. I would like someone like Brackett to train to take over or Ryan Johnson. I am not a Benning lover but I don't want a recycled GM .

I would prefer someone more modern thinking and specializing in drafting and player assessment.

I do want a new coach because I think Green has peaked out. One step at a time.

I believe Benning’s taken the Canucks as far as he can, he doesn’t possess the skill-set required to get them to the next level. With good draft positions seemingly gone I just don’t have any faith that he’s the right person for the job.
