Not even close to the same type player.
Do you really want a Sedin debate I don't - VANTEL
Petey is a mix of Hank & Danny, both a passer and a shooter, but he’s still a soft as (frank) Swede like they were as far as toughness. |

Benning has made 36 trades over his tenure, not going to bother to count how many at TDL. It is an area that Benning needs to be better at, promoting his players worth. - manvanfan

Other GM’s aren’t stupid, they and their staffs know what players are worth. |

That's like saying they don't give out horrible contracts either. |

No it’s not, apples and oranges. Teams will pay for a star player at the deadline if they believe in their team, but they won’t upset the chemistry too much. July 1st is a whole different animal, where 99% of all bad contracts are given out. |

I think you mean combined instead of mix
Sedins combined first year 29 G 34 A 63 Pts
Peteys first year 28 G 38 A 66 Pts.
I guess you missed Boesers goal last night |

No I mean style of play, he can shoot and score, he’s a mix of the twins talent. Their first years are really irrelevant, their usage wasn’t nearly on par with each other. Pettersson came in to an awful team and was given lots of minutes, the twins were third liners initially.
I’m looking at Danny’s TOI right now, his first three years he had 13:00, 12:22 & 12:26 TOI. |

Well this year the team is much better and he is on pace to beat their combined goals and assists again.

The hit he laid up to steal the puck and set up Boeser was impressive too. |

Yes I saw that, reminded me a lot of the work the twins used to do down low to get possession of the puck and then cycle it until someone got open....boom it’s in the back of the net |

Hopefully that happens!! It takes a group to win a Cup though. Bure had 31 points in 24 playoff games in 94 and we still didn’t win game seven
That hit on Churla was still awesome though, take no prisoners! |

you’ll never convince me, not that you’re trying, that Henrik was a bad captain, he did everything for the Canucks. He’s one of 80 players in league history with 1000 points and he did it all with the Canucks. He’s also second in playoff scoring behind Linden, it was a treat to watch them for so many years. |

Canucks have some good MoJo coming their way. They have a top 8 AHL club and some very good prospects .
Stay away from free agency and keep developing these Kids . There are about 3 or 4 knocking at the door.
I still think we will make the playoffs. The worst of the schedule is in the back mirror now. |

Well TBH the amount of trade activity by Benning at the TDL has been really minimal during his stay so I don't have much hope in a blockbuster.
He wants to get his first round pick back but that would have to be Bo or Brock traded . Bo was just made captain so I don't see that happening.
I don't know, I am expecting very little to happen. - VANTEL
In either buy or sell scenario I think he stands pat.

Didn't say he was a bad captain. I said I didn't like him. I did not like having both players on the same team and everything built around the two of them.
Lets end this before I get told about my Sedin hatred |

Yup, I agree, there’s some nice young talent on the team, however, 50 years of history tells me to temper my excitement, I’ve seen this movie before. I’m excited all the losing paid off thus far, but as I said, we’ve had tons of great young talent before and haven’t won....I’m hoping fourth times the charm |

Things are definitely looking up but Benning has the potential to seriously f*ck that up. |

I am impressed that Canucks are top 10 in goals and Comets are top of the league also in goals (more games played though).
I like the D and I like the goal tending. I think Mike D will steal Demko's job soon though.
Minivan threw out a name last week , Josh Anderson and even though he is having a bad year , I think Canucks can use a player like him to replace Ferland |

I'm off the grow forums the last couple of years. I'm all legal licenced and take consultant contracts for start ups etc... Making something out of my hoodlum days at least.

you’re so talented. Between that and fly tying, what else are you the best at?
