How do you know what I want? Seriously? Are you a mind reader?

I want a captain that if a player on his team gets hit that he comes to his defense like Petey did the other night when JTM got hit.

I want my captain to initiate like Petey has done hitting a few other opponents this year.

I want my leader to take the team on his back when they are slumping and pick them up like Petey is doing now.

We just had this conversation and you said these things more or less. Shall I go back?

Speaking of Czech players,
Pastrnak, Necas, Vrana, Hertl, Hronek, Faska, Zacha, Kase, Chytil, Zadina. They have a pretty good crop of young players.

Vantel doesnt want a soft Captain but wants Petey as the Captain.

He also said he hates our soft captains past... Hank and Linden. So Bo, Hank and Linden soft... Petey not soft.

Petey only needs the palm of someones hand on his back to fall down. He also falls down shooting the puck most times and pleads for a penalty.

He's softer than the last 3 Captains past and present....

I like Petey but I'm not living on fantasy Island. The kid is weak but oozes skill. Great attitude and has leadership quality but the fanboy narratives on him being tougher than the last 3 captains is (frank)ing comical.

You will want something completely different in a week. It’s Petey this week, next week he will be buttery soft and you will want a Roussel as captain or someone else

You always flip out when someone goes back and cut and pastes your posts anyways. No one needs your embarrassed temper tantrum after a win.

Someone says something about your drinking buddy and you go nuts. Show me once where I have said anything negative about Petey. I said in the summer he was my choice as the leader and six months later I'm still here saying the same thing.

Bo is not my drinking buddy. I have had dinner with him a few times years in the past as I used to hang out with some of Bieksa’s buddies. His teammates have been saying he was the leader of the room for years. Even when the sedins were still around. A slump on the ice doesn’t mean he has changed.

Perhaps he is battling an injury? Who the (frank) knows why he is in a rut 🤷‍♂️

He has not worn the C well at all yet.

The other day the afternoon crew on 650 said if you want answers we go straight to JTM.

I don't think anyone cares what Bo has to say personally. His interviews are boring and I think the media would much rather go to others for insight.

You can think he is the true leader but I think he is probably about 6 th on the list.

I'm not even sure why people are thinking he is slumping? What is his slump?

Yeah his numbers are okay.

I think it was you that said yesterday Bo should be removed from the first PP?

I hear comments all the time Bo has to score at home or Gaudette will be the second line center. I have even heard people suggesting Bo be traded.

None of these comments sound like ringing endorsements of Bo doing a fine job as captain so far.

Every time I hear his name mentioned it is not really in a positive way.

I think everybody has their own ideas and it's one end of the spectrum or the other. I don't know how some people come up with these ideas like Bo not scoring at home doesn't make him a number 2 center.

Traded, unless a #1D is coming back, sorry no.

I said Bo wasn't a good fit in the slot. I'd prefer him net front. That's Miller's position now. I did say that if Boeser keeps standing line a pylon on the right side of completely out of camera view all the time that Gaudette should take his spot because that was his position in college, where he scored a ton of goals from.

I don't think being captain is just about scoring or hitting or even being the hardest worker every shift.

The only real bad thing I have said against Bo is that he is boring and that really has nothing to do with his on ice performance.

My original and now comments are if He and Boeser get their game together on full cylinders this will be a hard tem to handle.

You are right it was Brock you were referring to to be replaced .

I am impressed that Canucks are top 10 in goals and Comets are top of the league also in goals (more games played though).

I like the D and I like the goal tending. I think Mike D will steal Demko's job soon though.

Minivan threw out a name last week , Josh Anderson and even though he is having a bad year , I think Canucks can use a player like him to replace Ferland

- VANTEL

I threw out his name much earlier along with Jones.

He is boring on camera. That's not media worthy hype but i'd rather the captain not be in poop over stupid things the media asks.

I don't see Bo or Brock having that much more to their games. I'm sure they will improve upon things but they just aren't the Petey types because Petey's aren't very common.

Generally after I whine about it, they go and score a goal, pass and move. Not everything is going to be pretty or perfect every time like i would like. They are getting the job done most nights.

I wanted to hold off on naming a C. The 50th Anny got in the way. Petey needed more time & overall would’ve been the better choice.

People always forget that the team looks to him as the leader. Bo led much better last season and he played with the biggest heart on the entire team last time the Canucks were in the play offs. That doesnt mean fans have to like the choice but that goes against so many of the narratives like the 50 anniversary marketing and Benning etc... it reeks of butt hurt fanboyism when you just ignore what the the actual players feel.

Petey is supposed to tougher because he has 3 more hits. Right... Petey in any kind of physical battle and I mean any kind is on his knees or ass. Bo may not throw hits(but has more or as many hits as most of the top 6 C's in the league) but he is 10X tougher on the boards and around the net. I'd say that has a better impact than getting one more hit every 10 games but I don't want to ruin a good narrative with reality.

Probably the biggest reason I wanted to wait if they were set on giving it to Petey is I didnt want him burdened with fanboys who would come out with the long knives fueled by media narratives and all that other butt hurt bs. I think Petey just needs to mature and develop his game and leadership first. I felt and still feel Bo can handle the negative pressure better and if he cant... i'd rather it be him than Petey dealing with the spite filled poop storm.

Dumb Canucks don't know who their leader is I guess. Luckily you are setting them straight.

Also, Miller endorsed Horvat as an incredible leader.
