I assume the recall was submitted Thursday night. Don't imagine there was time to break down the lineup implications.
- Carol Schram

Green knew it was serious in the post game presser . He said it doesn't look good.

I don't think it matters really as you wrote Sutter and Ferland are close to returning. Comets are playing well and Sven and Goldy are helping the Comets and would be used sparingly here .

No big deal it is only three games .

Gaudette before Roussel 18GP:
50.5 xGF% / 46.7 CF% / 32.9 SA/60

Gaudette w/ Roussel in 7GP:
39.0 xGF% / 40.4 CF% / 46.0 SA/60

This might be a reason to break them up.

There's tunnel vision going but it happens. My eye test gets manipulated by impressive and exciting goals as well. As a functioning line, they are poop. #notfakenews.

Vasily Podkolzin with 3 assists in today’s WJHC tune up game against Kazakhstan.

The line of Podkolzin, Marchenko and Morozov will be ferocious at the main event.

Kzak. I guess he has to start somewhere. Lets hope he builds some momentum.

That's a serious injury for Leivo that will likely impact his next contract by millions of dollars. Direct result of what should have been a boarding penalty because he was hit, without the puck, in an area close enough to the boards that he was unable to protect himself.

The fact there was no call or even a mention about the illegal check that caused it from NHL DoPS is just another in a long, long list of indicators that the league couldn't care less about the Vancouver market.

They could use a playmaker to help with puck possession, but not a Sutter or LE to slow things down.

I think Jake's 5v5 defense is underrated, he back checks pretty hard and always has decent possession numbers compared to most of his teammates, but I'll admit that he does get caught puck watching when the other team starts to cycle the puck.

McCann is five years younger and can play center. I’m just whining for the sake of whining. It’s bad when you trade a kid and five years later you’re at the exact same place you started but you wasted all that time in between.
- Pacificgem

McCann not as good as I thought he'd be but bad trade. No doubt about it. Pearson is ok and might be a wash with production but whats the point?

Gaudette started out hot even in training camp. He is coming down to more realistic numbers. I don't think Roussel has anything to do with that.

I'd prefer McCann's speed, not that Pearson is slow, but McCann is faster from what I've seen. And McCann can play C and W so that versatility is nice for a coach when putting together lineups.

Plus he has yet to hit his prime so it's a tough comparison to make since Pearson is in his prime.

Most of the Canucks injuries from illegal contact never get called or even reviewed.

Thats why I'm for putting him with Horvat until they get their head out of their ass and call up some skill.

Agreed.
Roussel has very solid possession numbers last year and Jake usually has decent ones as well. If anything, Gaudette is probably the one regressing (possession-wise) like you said.

Also, it's a small sample size. They're a better line than those numbers and frankly I'm not that interested in corsi anymore, there's better stats out there now.

Canucks should propose to SKA St Petersburg that they'll loan them Goldobin for the remainder of the year in exchange for the rights to Podkolzin. Get him over here to start working on his English and north american game in Utica.

I really hope that call to put Loui on the top line blows up in Green's face.

Last time it happened. The Canucks won. It was when TG tried to make lightning strike twice that it didn't go so well.

I'm going to go with a 6-3 Canucks win.

I think McCann's better offensively, Bennett's can get into the right spots, but his lack of top 6 skill/finish is why he's a bust. I like both players though, Bennett is a poop disturber

There is no skill to call up .

Sven had 2 assists in 6 games here and -2

Why bring in Goldy if he is in the press box.
