Kids got grinder plug written all over him #bust - LeftCoaster
Yup, poor pick by Benning and Brackett. Always go for the highest ceiling in the first round imo |

Podkolzin is going great? Same old, he grinds but he can’t produce. Not encouraging - CanuckDon
He'll be a solid bottom 6 player, a player you win with |

With just one game on the NHL schedule tonight, it's a perfect opportunity to catch some WHL action on Sportsnet.
Canucks prospects Jett Woo & Carson Focht of the Calgary Hitmen will face the Edmonton Oil Kings at 6 p.m. PT. |

Why does this narrative remind me of Virtanen?
Seems like he has skills and grit, which is the kind of player JB is after and the kind of player many on here lament that the team lacks.
I'm hoping he's a middle six player, the type that a team needs to go deep into the playoffs with |

Everyone wants another EP or Hughes, but you need a good mix. It's been so long since this team has made a playoff run that they've forgotten what it takes.
The trade/waive Jake haters are in utter shambles. |

His IQ and hands seem better then JV I’d say.

I'd temper the glee a bit. It's a bit too early for the pom poms. Let's see what he does in the AHL first. |

He's a top 10 Russian pick though, it's NHL or KHL |

“Good mix” pieces are not that difficult to acquire (or pick later). |

Good game for you cheaters last night. Wasn’t fair you started the game before we were ready. So much talent on the Canucks, it must be nice. |

I didn't include Pod because he's still 2 years away with Russia. Hoglander I think they were originally talking about him being on the team this year? - 93Nucks
Actually I believe pod is available to sign for the rest of our year after khl season is over. Then he'll have to go back to Russia for his final season. Same with tree I believe. |

I really could GAF about the game. It's good for kid's (and Lord H)
The skills comp is okay. - VanHockeyGuy
I have to agree. The game tends to be lame.
Skills comp I enjoy some of.
Personally I think it's just there to sell jerseys and autographs.....and of course the television $ |

Don't take this the wrong way but you guys don't know sh1t about drafting.

TBH I trust Canucks drafting more than HockeyBuzz drafting. Call me silly. |

I'm laughing at the struz's penciling Pod & Hog into next year's top 6.

Burns makes it and has played like garbage all year. Makar makes it and hughes and him are neck and neck. Hughes wasnt even on the short list for guys to vote for, bit bizarre if you ask me. How the hell do two sharks make it?! - neem55
Just a heads up - Hughes is the first Dman on the All star spare list |

No kidden - otherwise we could've ended up with Middlestadt, Vilardi, Glass, Boqvist, M Tkachuk, Boldy - it works both ways.
Plus you're always going to have people trying to justify a bad/good draft decision based on WJ efforts. Imagine if we had taken Lias Anderson over Petey - after they were drafted the year he threw his medal into the crowd he was a beast in that tourney.
Theres a 2-3 year wait and see period now but to me The Pod and Hoglander picks compliment each other quite well. |

Yes. The trolls drove away most of the knowledgeable posters. Only a few left now. Left with many idiots.... |
