Why on earth are teams pursuing Duclair? He’s got 21 goals while shooting a very lucky, and unsustainable, 20%! He’s MAYBE got 9 goals left in him the rest of the year.

He’s how many years in to the league, been passed over by multiple teams that craved goal scoring and realized he wasn’t it, and yet teams are somehow pining for him as if he’s a top 6 scorer on a playoff team?!?

I think Dorion will hold out until the last week to move Pageau. Moving Pageau makes sense since he’s a UFA but I’d keep Duclair on another 1-2 year prove it deal. They will need a few guys to surround the younger players coming in.

Montreal needs a bit of everything. With mounting injuries to their forwards they’d have to make a move soon to get back in it right away. MB does not want to trade a high pick or prospect for a potential rental. Besides Habs are “Hab-nots” this year. 4 points behind TB and have played 2 more games. Even farther behind WC2. Sell at the deadline.

The Isles should definitely be looking to add offence. They are in a good spot to compete.

What the heck happened to Team USA?? Besides that they lost of course. I was expecting another Canada - USA Showdown. They had sooooo much firepower. I thought they built their team a bit too light. Lots of high end offensive talent but no grit. I think Canada should have brought some heavier guys as well. I did not watch the game.

Frolik might perform better playing farther up the lineup in Buffalo. I’m pretty sure he was on the 3rd and 4th lines in Cowtown. In Buffalo top six he might do well.

Frolik does have 4 goals in his last 9 games so he's not a total bust and it was a 4th round pick/Scandella you gave up not Jack Eichel.

So the Canadiens get a good left d-man, the Flames get a 4th rd pick, cap space to maneuver and Buffalo gets a 31 yr old senior citizen that can't be flipped and we're still over the cap. Great job J.B., help everyone else out on the road to the cup except your team.
