Anderson hasnt doen anything this year or in the playoffs last year worth note. He is a power forward who neither plays like a power forward...or seems to want to. Robinson, Stenland name a call up deserve a spot on this roster more than him. With that said, he does have trade value. If only he and Murray were healthy they could be a package deal to acquire that scorer. If anything CBJ could recoup some picks from trading them to say, Toronto. |

Thomas Townsend: Lets Make a Deal - Thomas Townsend
My vote is to have a quiet trade deadline. Let others wheel and deal this year. Play with the guys who got you in this position and let the chips fall where they may. In no way am I advocating that Jarmo refuse all offers, but rather be prudent and calculated. He has always done that, but last year was willing to 'go all in' as they say. If another team wants to overpay for some of the CBJ depth I think you consider it. However, a first round pick from a playoff team doesn't necessarily have that much value if you are giving up NHL, or NHL ready assets.
agreed, although Athanasiou might be interesting, he's having a bad year, perhaps we can get him for less then what he might be worth. |

Nylander would immediately become your top offensive player. He is on a decent contract (6.9m) and still young.
Bracco is a top prospect and Timashov is an NHL’er as well, Ceci is UFA.
Savard, Jenner, Anderson
for
Nylander, Ceci, Bracco, Timashov
(Feel free to swap Barrie with Ceci) |

I think it's a "stand pat" kind of year. MAYBE he adds something the team is lacking (I don't know what that is) to reward the players for their hard work to be in playoff contention this year.
Otherwise, I could see someone like Nash being traded just to recoup some assets but it's kind of a sideways deal.
As a leaf fan, I like your cap situation at the moment! Pretty clean! |

This is poorly written, filled with really basic grammatical errors and using abbreviated player names instead of their actual names is fine for Hockeybuzz, but it comes off like a child wrote it. |

Sir,
With all due respect, I do not see your name on the masthead of any blog or many comments from you on this site. If you do not like to see mistakes on a blog here, then offer to edit posts for him. If you are not writing, then maybe you ought to keep such comments to yourself.
Or better yet, why not become a full-time editor and fix the horrible mistakes in many so-called important newspapers, magazines, and web sites that have more basic errors in grammar or spelling in them than a 7th grade English class.
What a great win by the CBJ tonight. After the break the end of season schedule is very, very difficult, and it is likely the CBJ will fail to make the playoffs without a talent infusion up front at the deadline. But it is fun to see team play so well now.
