If Hall gets traded, I can just see Tanner’s blog about how Hall isn’t that good, and how in Arizona he’s not reaching his “expected goals”, or his Corsi for, or some other stupid stat he can make work for his crappy points, etc, etc.

Yeah, not great by any stretch, but they didn't give up much for Kessel and while Kessel is having a very average season he's still an impactful player.

I think Hall was the wrong target. The Yotes are still missing a true first line center IMO and that's where their focus should have been. If one wasn't available then they should have been more conservative in their dealings.

If they flip Hall, it obviously depends on what they get back for him. I'm not saying you're wrong, but they are a bit desperate to get the team competitive. We both know long losing periods are hard on a fan base and AZ isn't exactly well entrenched.
