So here is my plan . Trade Markstrom and Brock this year for two first round picks . Next year When Hughes and Pettersson turn RFA let them get offer sheeted for 4 first round picks each . This way in the next 5 years we will get 14 first round picks . Problem solved.

Here’s the thing: you complain about this role not being filled, but JB has put a bunch of people in the role in Utica/Van. Of note: Roussel, Ferland, ZacMac, Bailey... the list goes on. I think one of the reasons were finally doing well is we do have a bit more of a spine to backup the skill guys. It’s going to be interesting as we directly fight other pacific teams to see what this team is made of.

Hughes no, Petey yes. But that would set the rebuild back another decade, so no thanks. I’m good with trading Markstrom if the return is a first (like Schneider), but not a third (like Lack). There will be plenty of veteran UFA goalies to pick from this summer.

Stand up for yourself. Stand up for your line mates and then we don't need to have a 40 page discussion of who to bring in for 5 mil that has one goal in his last 32 games.

A lot of puzzies on this team. It doesn't mean they are not talented but grow a pair.

No, here's the thing, I suggest we try some guys that might be in the system, or might be available, at a reasonable cost, because this team lacks those players.
Skill alone, doesn't win you anything, other than maybe a President's trophy.
This is a discussion forum and I will discuss things that I think will help the team, just like others, who only want skilled smurfs, because they believe the new nhl is all skill and no muscle.

Loui should have never been in the top 6, but replacing him with sutter is still super questionable by green. Virtanen has 15 goals on the season and is still on the 3rd line. I dont get it

People keep posting these rumors like getting a rental like Simmonds. I dont know who posted or wrote it, but I imagine the thought process behind acquiring a rental like simmonds is for a run.
