It’s to replace Ferland. And that’s not all in. Likely would cost a 3rd max. - CanuckDon
Definitely not all in. I think they need to make the playoffs this year to clear that hurdle, and for the kids need to learn what it takes to make it/that extra playoff gear, but realistically they should be 2-3 years away from making any "all in" moves. They have some great prospects coming up that are going to fill holes in the current lineup, let that happen naturally for now.
Lets just hope Ferland can play and we can put to rest those stupid Simmons rumors. |

Way too much ink to whether Simmonds plays or not. It is for 4 months only who really cares if he sees someone taking a cheap shot and he jumps in. |

Plus the first and the third they paid for Miller, and the $ + term they gave Myers and Ferland. If you don’t think ownership is all in on playoffs you’re more retarded than I thought.
I guess it depends on your perception. Was acquiring Higgins and Lapierre “all in”, or Signing Torres? These moves, in comparison, are much more significant. |

All in would be trading boeser for a veteran. Or trading poskokzin, hoglander madden etc for rentals. Miller is in his prime and was on a 4 year contract. Yes, all in on the next 4 seasons. It’s astounding how stupid you are |

Come on guys, a little banter is fun, calling out peoples intelligence because a difference of opinion is a bit much, IMO.
And I carry the hammer so I am always in the right....right? |

I honestly don't think the regulars get too insulted when another regular calls someone a dumbass.
Most of us find it therapeutic . |

Game day!
Petey is back — and I'm taking Ferland's appearance as getting us one step closer to determining whether he'll be able to contribute down the stretch run.
I'm also very curious to see if the Flames can come out with (ahem) fire in their bellies tonight...

Selling the future for the now is going all in, especially when they have very little flexibility because of all the terrible contracts on the books.
Absolutely, every team should be trying to get better every year. Signing MDZ was, in essence, getting better, but I wouldn’t call that, or Vrbata all in. |

I’d trade for Simmonds if it meant we could unload an anchor (with a sweetener like Goldy or Tree), but I’m still holding out hope that Ferland returns and fills that role himself |
