Mostly wishful thinking like most of the stuff on here. - VANTEL
Problem is this is the worst time to make a deal. Do you think this team really has a shot or do you make your adjustments in the summer? |

Price is steep, especially in a year you probably won't have a first rounder. You need to give to get right? Tyler Toffoli & Dillon are both UFA's this summer. Tough call. - VanHockeyGuy
I still wouldn't bother on either.
Im still on the sell parts off and thanks for the experience this season, get prepared for next year.
I don't see any real hockey trades to be made that could make the team better.
Van could sell high on a few players. |

A 2nd round pick and Adam Ruczika was the rumour I heard from Calgary and Galchenyuk plus 3rd from Pitt. - manvanfan
I’d do that deal |

I do think the team has a shot . Canucks have talent and if everyone is firing on all cylinders they have as much as a chance as any team in the West.
I think Leivo in and Schaller out . Ferland in and Loui out is a significant upgrade.
A guy like Simmonds I would offer Sven and a second. I would not offer that second straight up for Simmonds but moving the extra year of Sven I would.
I would like to see Nick Rithie in the bottom 6 of our club.
If you can move Benn and get Dillon yes sure I would do. |

They will probably make the playoffs. See what you got then and then make adjustments in the summer. A new coach would help. |

I'm sure there are teams looking for soft players with no push back, sell high. |

I would consider Pearson for a second or Roussel for a third.
Stecher might get a fourth ? Maybe? |

Hilarious - some guys in NJ thread said they would expect and be happy with a 5th or 6th - 2nd is a massive overpayment - the guy is a dinosaur, his time has passed. |

Getting guys healthy is big for us. The guys hurt represent the biggest upgrades we can afford to make right now. Don't cost us a thing.
I still think summer is when we'll look for upgrades. If we can get Sven a place to play, great.
Hard pass on Simmonds.

You thinking a team is going to take on Svens 3.3 mil salary for free is the hilarious part. He has been offered up twice for free and half price , and still no takers. |

I think you would have to ask for more for Pearson, having a career year and not a rental. 2nd and a 3rd or further along prospect.
I'd do Roussel for a 3rd. Although he did claim he wasn't his self anymore so that might hurt his value.
Stecher if he was taller might get a 4th. I'd be excited for a 5th |

Anyone thinking Simmonds is going to help you on the score sheet is crazy. He would be absolutely a fourth line rental for 4 months that will fight when the playing gets tough . Stop thinking he is a top 6 player . |

Same.
i don't expect any major moves at the TDL and still don't think we'll actually make the playoffs.
I think Stetcher is gone in the offseason.
I hope to hell we're able to offload Sven or LE, but i'm not holding my breath. |

I agree with all of this but I would take a second for Pearson.

PP1 - Miller, Bo, Brock, EP, Hughes.
PP2 - Pearson, Gaudette, JV, S immonds (over Rousell or Sutter), Myers.
I think he could get himself some greasy goals on the PP still.
would be an upgrade over current options, until Ferland can step up.

Exactly - Thinking that anyone wants Sven as part of any deal is hilarious, including a 2nd to offload him is even funnier |

My understanding but hate of Edler has reached a point. He can so be steady and so bad all at the same time.
He couldn't even hold onto his stick last night. |
