You just said in your last posting Trade Markstrom , Demko is the future . And here you are saying Canucks rely and only had their success because of Markstrom
Can I recommend fewer visits to Tanners blog nut bar is rubbing off. - VANTEL
well I know you’re a bit of a moron yourself but I don’t want them propped up but goaltending, understand, so ya, trade Markstrom and build a stronger core with a stronger bunch of complimentary players.
With his strong performance this year he’s going to cash in at 30 years old, there’s not a snowballs chance in hell he signs anything under four years, which is too long for the Canucks.
The team is close to being good, like before Gillis came to town, they just need better coaching, Evander Kane and a much better bottom six. |

I like his musical taste tbh.
BUt i tired of the trolling and don't read his drivel anymore.
I just think they'll come back down to earth, the inevitable injuries will pile up and the other more seasoned teams will turn it up. - dbot
99% of the drivel he posts is trash, thus my post that he actually got something right. |

I don’t know of many 30 year old goaltenders, 31 next season, who are a teams future. Do you watch hockey?
The prudent play is to trade Markstrom and sign Lehner for two years to tandem with Demko. Or something alone those lines. Asset management |

Just curious, how old was the Goalie that beat us in the Finals and won the Conn Smythe last time we were there? |

What does that have to do with building a team for the future? Pettersson is 21, Hughes is 20, Boeser is 22, our core is young. In my opinion this team needs three years of growth before they’re considered a contender IF they continue to add pieces to the puzzle every year.
I’m all for signing Markstrom to a two year contract, but like I said earlier, he’s in a great position to sign a longer term contract and I don’t see him giving up that opportunity.
Markstrom’s been a journeyman until he came to the Canucks, who didn’t have any other options once Miller left. He’s 31 next season. Signing him to a long term deal would be so Benning because it’d be a foolish signing. |

I never really expect much. But I'm in a "Lead the camel to water," kind of mood tonight.

Big fuking deal, Thomas was 32 when he took over the Bruins starter job, 5 years later he's drinking from the Cup with a finals MVP in tow. Your formula has flaws. Starting with the fact you haven't a clue about the position.

I can cherrypick a bunch of young goaltenders who won with their young core as easily as anyone can cherrypick the one mid 30’s goaltender who’s won a Cup in the past ten years.
Quick was 25 & 27 when won with a team he was drafted and developed with. Crawford was 27 & 29 in the same situation. Fleury was 30 & 31 when he won his second and third Cups. |
